whitewolf406 3 Report post Posted April 28, 2010 Nhl.com said tba Wed. afternoon. Word is Thur., Sun. in SJ, then I would guess Wed. Fri.at home the way the 1st round went. Wouldn't surprize me to see it bumped up a day to keep the Wings from getting more than a couple day's off. Rumor is Chi.-Van. is going on Sat., in which case you would think we'd start on Sun. but this is buttman's NHL.

If the Blackhawks get another late start and we have to go Thursday I'll lose me freaking mind. That's beyond retarded. Both Chicago and Vancouver are rested enough to play Thursday or Friday. If anyone has an argument against having to start Thursday it's the team that played Tuesday.

I thought I read SJ had a concert Friday/Saturday so couldn't do either day. I just need to plan my days off. Would be nice if I didn't need to take 4-5 days. Wednesday/Friday games would be great but I don't see it happening.

I haven't heard anything about Saturday but you could be right. I wish we knew more.

Octopus's Garden 147 Report post Posted April 28, 2010 Shouldn't the NHL be announcing this soon if, oh I don't know, game 1 is FREAKIN TOMORROW?! Any chance there's no game tomorrow and they start the series Sunday, then play every other day through 7?
Mikeal 60 Report post Posted April 28, 2010 Starting Sunday would be amazing but I doubt the NHL would go for it. That would save me a TON of vacation days...
Octopus's Garden 147 Report post Posted April 28, 2010 Sharks just announced Thursday 9 p.m. ET for the first game. Not sure about after that, but would assume Sunday-Tuesday-Thursday

hooon 1,089 Report post Posted April 28, 2010 Thursday? Do they put ANY thought whatsoever into scheduling?
Nightfall 871 Report post Posted April 28, 2010 Thursday? Do they put ANY thought whatsoever into scheduling? Ok, what is wrong with Thursday? I hate to break it to everyone but every year its the same thing. If you go game 7, you have 1-2 days off in between series. Thats it! Its not like teams that go 7 games get 4-5 days off or anything like that. If you want 4-5 days off, then close a team out early. The Wings played 3 lazy games and thats why they went 7 games. With a concert at the HP Pavillion on Friday and Saturday nights, the choice is simple. Start on Thursday (1 day off and makes total sense) or start on Sunday (4 days off) and be grossly behind everyone else.

Nightfall 871 Report post Posted April 28, 2010 Yep Thursday gametime is official 9pm ET: http://sharks.nhl.com/ At least its starting at 9pm. Gets all the Wings fans in bed by 11:45 instead of a 10pm start when the game wouldn't get over with until 12:45.

They need to find out what the East series' are before they can announce the entire schedules.
