1. Get rid of bert. He does not fit in our lineup anymore now that we have huds back and bertuzzi misses many oppurtunities on the offense end. (I.e. Several times losing control along the boards, unable to handle breakaway passes) Bert should not be played on the 3rd or 4th line so he simply doesnt fit.

2. Re-sign Lids(This is happening)

3. Osgood must play more games

Thats pretty much it, we've gotten rid of willliams, and you guys all know we could have easily made it to round 3 if some bounces went our way. But unfortunatly it didn't but now our powerplay has gotten a huge boost from huds.

Wanna add anything guys?

I'm interested to see how Osgood responds to not being the number-one anymore. Perhaps the lowered expectations and less work will help out his save% and GAA. Then again, he is getting older. Reflexes are kind of a big deal with goaltending, and it was something that was always off this year.

1. Bert makes less than 2 million dollars a year and provides a net front presence and skills for the shoot-out. Who replaces him? Hudler? He will be on the second or third line and expected to get 70 points this year while playing 10 minutes a game, and it won't be in front of the net.

2. Hopefully Lids does come back so Rafalski can continue to ride his coat tails.

3. Osgood will probably not be the #1 guy next season.

Here are my expected lines:

Franz-Dats-Homer

Flip-Z-Bert/Hudler

Eaves-Cleary-Hudler/Bert

Miller-Abdelkader-UFA

Lids-Raf

Stu-Kronner

Lilja-Ericsson (Kindl)

Re-sign Bertuzzi and make either a gritty 'power forward-type-' 3rd line: (Bertuzzi-Abdelkader-Cleary). Or a scoring 3rd line: (Hudler-Filppula-Eaves) - this line should have no problems scoring against bottom paring lines on the opposition's team.

I'd also like to see Babcock explore the Bertuzzi-Zetterberg-Franzen line. I mean s***... if Franzen can score 6 points per game with Bertuzzi getting 5 points setting him up, I say go for it!

I also expect Ritola to make his name known around the NHL next year. He's looked great when he's played in the NHL. He's strong on the puck, smart, sees the ice well and can dangle anyone. He even has the take-away prowess like Datsuyk. He could very well become a solid 3rd line center.

Ericsson needs to shoot more. I think he's going to have a lights out season.

Agreed on all points. I really think Ritola has an outside shot at having a breakout season in the future along the lines of what Franzen had in 07-08 (except without as many goals). Ritola has all the tools to be a 2nd line winger if he can just pull it together for a season. Hopefully he`ll be a better NHL player than he was in the AHL.

Also, I`d like to see Babcock keep Filppula on Zetterberg or Datsyuk`s wing long term so he can settle into the role he played in the playoffs.

I think you're forgetting Helm.
