Wow. Even though it's only about rights, I think that's great deal for the Flyers. Seems like they like to trade with Preds (Timonen, Hartnell etc.). Lets see if Ellis is going as well...

edit: This also means that either Coburn or Carle is going to be moved (providing Hamhuis signs). They'll probably move Coburn, but Carle would likely have more trade value after this "illusion season". Carle isn't really as good as it may seem, big part of it is playing with Pronger.

Too bad they couldnt have completed this deal at the deadline. Probably would've given Chicago more of a run if they couldve rolled their 3 defence pairs consistently. Good deal for both teams.

Carle's offensive output (in games with the Flyers) was basically the same considering ice time and games played. Pronger probably affected his plus-minus, but he still had quite a bit of trade value coming into the season. "Illusion" you say? Maybe. But not because of Pronger.

Flyers will be a tough team again next year if they can sign Hamhuis. I could easily see them winning the East again if they can solidify their goalie situation.
