Guest Crymson Report post Posted June 28, 2010 (edited) tool, i never said he would be cheap show me where i did !.. i said with our cap space would/should we use it on getting him. You wrote that he was offered $1.65m by the Hawks. In the same post, you wrote that we could get him for $2m. That's a whopping $350K more than the Blackhawks` offer. How do you not call that getting him cheap? The idea that we could get him for $2m is ludicrous in any event, just like your notion that Bobby Ryan---a 40+ goal scorer with a lot of potential---could be had for $3.85m, and just like your passionate argument that Spezza was great, an argument made despite the blatantly obvious fact that you knew next to nothing about Spezza aside from his point totals. LOL you are one of the biggest douches on this site, i said Spezza was good offensivly and i also said maybe his lack of effort was do to the fact that he has wanted out of Ottawa for the last couple years, and i never said we would get him at 2mill i used the number as an example. Ah, a personal attack! You must have a sore spot somewhere that relates to all of this. Your allegation that Spezza's lack of effort comes from having perhaps wanted to be traded for the last two seasons is indeed indicative of your general lack of knowledge of him, as it is silly for more than one reason. -Spezza has been a lazy player for long before the last two seasons. -Spezza makes $7m per year and thus has absolutely no excuse for putting forth minimal effort. You also attempted to argue that Spezza is not lazy, but is merely unwilling to backcheck; this, again, demonstrates your lack of knowledge of Spezza, as he's pretty much lazy all-around, and he's careless even when he has the puck. Etc. etc. etc. You're just generally unaware of the fact that Spezza has long refused to block shots, backcheck or hit and has a terrible attitude on and off the ice. You argued to the contrary regardless, probably because you're one of those posters who would rather put up a totally ridiculous argument when challenged rather than admit to having lacked insufficient evidence to back up your initial claims. 1 Zeowingsfan reacted to this
king_malice 17 Report post Posted July 1, 2010 - Speaking of Chicago, it sounds like Andrew Ladd is still available and a lot of teams are interested in him, including the Detroit Red Wings, Montreal Canadiens and Edmonton Oilers. A longshot team in this is Buffalo. hockeyleaks.com

I know that whenever I want information on happenings in the hockey world, I always seek out such a webpage!

Spezza's not lazy. Spezza is merely a guy who doesn't backcheck terribly much, and is less willing to go into the corners than his linemates. KANE is lazy. He takes forever to get up if hit, even if it means an odd-man rush on his own net or a lack of a scoring situation for his team. He takes 10-15 seconds to actually get back INTO the play. Laziest player I've ever seen at any level. I would have traded that #1 pick for another top 5-10 pick and a high level forward or defenseman. I mean SERIOUSLY. Kane could be a top 3-5 player in the league if he put forth any real effort.
