NGKEIB 32 Report post Posted July 21, 2010 I guess this is one of the few thread topics where people can be comparing Sutton to Stevens and Volchenkov to Konstantinov and actually get away with it
esteef 2,679 Report post Posted July 21, 2010 (edited) How about a thread about who has been lit up the most by the best hits? Umberger, J-Will, Lindros, Kariya? esteef Edited July 21, 2010 by esteef
Z Winged Dangler 2,082 Report post Posted July 21, 2010 jason williams is not on the list...therefore i will not place a vote. How about a thread about who has been lit up the most by the best hits? Umberger, J-Will, Lindros, Kariya? esteef those hits by stevens on kariya and lindros were messy. i thought at first that kariya may be dead...but he's half ninja so he got up. tough for a little guy. as for umberger...every year that guys on the wrong end of a rock em' sock em' hilight reel. newfy 695 Report post Posted July 22, 2010 could you imagine and ericsson and sutton pairing? the towers off doom. ericsson would play 10x tougher if he had sutton on his side. If Ericcson had someone mean on his pairing who would need him to back him up sometimes, instead of Lebda or post concussion Lilja who never started anything physical, Ericcson would develop a very nice mean streak I think. Even if Ericcson played soft, opposing forwards staring down the ice at a 6'5 and a 6'6 defender would have to be intimidating
Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted July 23, 2010 (edited) Kronwall and Stuart deserve to make the list. Just ask anyone who has been on the receiving end of a hit by them. Edited July 23, 2010 by Hockeytown0001
Bring Back The Bruise Bros 1,029 Report post Posted July 23, 2010 I remember I went nuts when Kronwall decked Ryan Malone in the 2008 Finals. He had everyone and their brother lined up that year.

HankthaTank 1,100 Report post Posted July 23, 2010 Yeah too bad he doesn't play like that anymore Yep, that Stuie-Kronner pairing doesn't scare anyone anymore with their bonecrushers. Wishful thinking...they return to their "come near these boards and die" form. Personally, Ericsson better get it figured out though. Big waste of space if he doesn't start cleaning clocks. Doc Holliday 1,888 Report post Posted July 23, 2010 Yeah too bad he doesn't play like that anymore Yeah after one year with a depleted lineup. Pshaw. Also, if you want a guy like Clutterbuck to answer to his hits, then hit him back. Fighting for a hit (unless it is completely blatant in which case I don't care if the guy declines to fight you or not) is just retarded. Be like Gordie Howe and be nasty. Let him know you're there. I don't care if he throws clean hits, which he does a lot. Its his dirty ones that he nearly never answers to that bother me. He isn't nearly as bad as some of the other guys in the league but he's still not great. Be like Gordie Howe? Gordie was one of the toughest fighters in the league during his prime, maybe the toughest
Bring Back The Bruise Bros 1,029 Report post Posted July 23, 2010 Guys like Clutterbuck,Cooke,Kaleta, and Ruutu rarely ever answer the bell following a dirty hit.
HankthaTank 1,100 Report post Posted July 23, 2010 Cooke can't even hear bells led alone answer said bells after hits. Biggest crumbpacker in the league.
Bring Back The Bruise Bros 1,029 Report post Posted July 23, 2010 Hopefully Boogaard breaks his visor and proceeds to smash his face in when the Rangers and Pens play.If Boogaard doesn't do it,I'm sure Brandon Prust would gladly do the deed
