Decent start to "stepping it up"....

Yes he stepped up last night no doubt about it, but let's continue this

Well, if there is any consolation to this, at least he won't have to spend All-Star weekend in hockey hell (aka Raleigh).

Fortunately, this is about as good a medium-term injury as one can get. Datsyuk will still be able to skate and to work his lower body--he'll possibly come back stronger in the legs than he was before--and he'll not lose much upper-body strength either. Further, he hurt his off hand rather than the one that's high on the stick.

This is WAY better than a leg or a back injury.

What is the reason for not putting Datsyuk on the LTIR? I don't understand.

Kenny won't do that until it's worth it. They haven't called anyone up.

Because you don't have to until you need to since it's retroactive. If he were to be put on LTIR he'd already have 2 days under his belt. LTIR counts up the days prior to actually being put on it.

not even close, looked very sloppy and was already moving up the one side whereas Datsyuk went straight at the goalie.

Dats had Vokoun out on Fort Street. This guy didn't even have the goalie leaning the wrong way. Cool to see Pasha's influence though.

works every time
