Bring Back The Bruise Bros 1,029 Report post Posted April 9, 2011 Anyone happen to tune in to watch this one? I see there's been a few scraps in the first period already. I figured this would happen, especially at the end of the year with the Isles out of the playoff race. Power's out here, so I can't tune in to anything Should be another long, tough game between these two squads.
evilzyme 769 Report post Posted April 9, 2011 I've heard from HFB that its round 2, same antics from their matchup earlier this season. I've also heard that the reffing is incredibly great!
GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted April 9, 2011 I sure hope Gillies doesn't kill Talbot or Orpik.

Gillies and Godard fought- win Gillies- but the refs felt the need to give them both a ten min misconduct on top of the 5 min for fighting. Konopka and Asham fought in a draw. Somehow Konopka got the instigator despite Asham challenging him. The second period was quite. I expect Godard to want Gillies again, and I'm surprised nobody has gone after Haley (who was called for clipping on a hip check). EDIT- Somehow this warranted a 10 min misconduct on top of the 5 for fighting. Edited April 9, 2011 by WorkingOvertime

They don't wanna deal with another game that gets out of hand.

I can understand giving 10's if players punch from the ground, after the refs come in, etc. but that situation is over the line IMO.

Yeah its definitely inconsistent, but that's NHL officiating for ya.
