Says the wings will hold camp in Traverse City July 7-14.

Its about a 4 hour drive for me to get up there. Has anyone ever gone to one of these, is it worth the trip??

Have you ever been to a hockey practice?

It is just like that but there are some kids that you don't know, but assume will be your heroes in a couple of years.

I suggest doing it at some point, but honestly if you have the extra money and time in September the game is more interesting.

These camps have always been held in Detroit at the Joe but this year they dedided to do it in TC. If I had the money I'd be going to this Camp as well as the NHL Prospect Tournament and Red Wings Training Camp but I can't afford all of them. The tickets are only $5 which is a great deal. If you want to see the Draft Picks and some of the other Prospects than I would suggest you go it's probably not as grand as the NHL Prospects Tournament that's held in September before the Red Wings Training Camp. I've never been to the Development/Strength and Conditiong Camp but it sounds like a Ton of fun and it's a Shot of Hockey in the dead of Summer which for me is always AWESOME. The Arena is a very nice facility and the staff is equally nice so if you have the money I would go otherwise wait until September and go to the NHL Prospect Tourney and see 6 or 8 teams worth of Prospects. I would go just to get as much hockey as I can a but like I said I've never been to one of these but if you want a glimpse at future Red Wings players it's probably worth it.
