Bring Back The Bruise Bros 1,029 Report post Posted December 19, 2011 My link Interesting article. To be honest, I am surprised White continues to play without one. I still believe it should be optional, but I see why more players are moving in that direction. Guys are constantly switching to and from the visor. Marc Methot switched to it beginning this year. Paul Gaustad started wearing one this year. Zack Kassian wore one up until a few games ago, and now goes without one. I noticed tonight that Bryan Bickell ditched the visor. The numbers are always fluctuating. Discuss.
Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted December 19, 2011 Visor usage should be optional, but players would be smart to wear one. We all know that someday soon the league will make visors mandatory with a grandfather rule in place.

Though I have a feeling it won't happen until an Yzerman or Laperierre type eye injury (or worse) happens on the ice.
