Wow, you mean no overpayment? That is nice to see! A 20 goal scorer making $3M per season...does this hurt Hudler's chances of $4M+? Maybe he'll consider an offer of $3M as well...

This Kelly signing is good...if we were going to start seeing 20 goal scorers hitting $5M, the the NHL would be in a world of hurt! Of course $1.6M per for Campbell may have just risen the contracts of Helm and Abby a bit...damn.

This was my first thought. I'm still hoping see Helm sign for somewhere around 1.8-2.0M

Highly unlikely I think you are looking for at least 2.5 maybe even close to 3.0M per.

Uh....no. When Helm nets 20+ goals and gets near 50 points, he will get $3M... He may get more than $1.5M now, but $3M? Come on... As a matter of fact, he may accept a front loaded contract that pays him upwards of $3M per right away, but averages a cap of $1.5M...that I will agree with, but a cap hit of $3M...No.
