Sauce may be a ball of energy, but sometimes how he handles the puck it scares the piss out of me.

This playoff push is becoming the race to lose less games, not the race to win more. Everyone is losing!

With how inconsistent the Caps, Leafs, Wings, and Jackets are the teams that can put a little 3 game  winning streak will make it. I will say Leafs might have to go a 5 game winning streak since they have played 75 games instead of 73 like the rest of the teams.

EDIT: It's funny in a way too. Usually there is no room for error in a situation like this, but everyone keeps losing together or winning together. NJ might still have a chance as well.

Who is #93? I know he got called up for his first NHL game tonight from Grand Rapids, but I wasn't sure what his name was. Big body and a seemingly power forward with a good shot. I'm excited to see what he can do in the future.

Professor vocie: Good news CWF! He is signed for another 7 years!!

Wasn't Legwand supposed to stabilize the top line? His passing has been terrible.

He is a low end 2nd line center at his best. He isn't what the Wings need as the wings could be playing sheahan, helm, anderson, and glen down the middle.

Not sure who to root for in the NJ vs NYR game. I want another team to lose hope for the last spot in the playoffs (NJ) but we dont need a team like NYR to get more points.

Everyone is bitching about Howard, but the players in front of him have looked like crap all game long.

If only the older vets were healthy this team would be deep.
Z and D on one line, the kid line, a weiss/legwand line, and a helm line.

That's a deep team.

Bert still has hands of gold, too bad he's old, slow and dumb.

People always say he is slow, but to me he looks fast out there. Must be a camera trick

You can tell the players like and/or respect Tim Thomas. We don't bowl him over when we easily could.

Z probably saved a goal right there. This is looking dicey.

I wouldn't want to hit Thomas either, dude is crazy!

1st star of the game easily goes to the Hockey Gods.

Quick we must make another sacrifice to keep them pleased.

#2471891 What is going on in Edmonton?

Horrible management, poor draft selections. They drafted forwards with all three first-overall picks they've had in the past four seasons, and they have consistently failed to provide sufficient veteran or physical presence, to ice a viable defensive corps, or to sign a reliable goaltender. The result is a very soft and inexperienced team that gives up goals in droves.

To make matters worse on the defensive front, Smid---undoubtedly the team's best defensive defenseman---was traded recently for peanuts in order to make room for Bryzgalov. That's just one example of how awful the management has been over the past six years. Others included trading Pronger for a wholly insufficient package, dealing Smyth for the same, and flubbing a trade of Comrie for Perry by insisting that the Ducks reimburse the Oilers for Perry's signing bonus. And so on. This only includes the mistakes that were made over Kevin Lowe. The Oilers are currently on their second incompetent GM since Lowe was sacked; Tambellini was horrible too.

To make matters worse for the

You can't put too much blame on the Edm staff for the Pronger fiasco.  That was just a bad situation Pronger and his family put them in.

As others have said, they have drafted top end talent, rushed them into the NHL, didn't provide good leadership (Hemsky leadershipr lol), and nver did anything to address their defense or goalie situation.

You guys are calling out Howard? Looking at the recap video on NHL, it looked like Howard gave the Wings a chance to get back in there. Sure the 2nd goal he would like to have back, but how about those PP saves, a 2 on 1 save, lack of defensive coverage in his own zone? Then you have Bert miss a wide open net, Tatar as well near the end. The 4th goal was one hell of a shot, not many goalies are going to stop a snipe that close and with so much time to shoot.

there you go Babcock, get the tying goal and follow up with Cleary....you're fired.

I wont lie, Cleary looked somewhat decent on that last rush. That Leafs player must be really slow because Cleary looked fast.
