Oh, heck, yeah! The person below me has or would like one of those cars that you plug in.
-
Nope. I go to work tonight, but that's it. The person below me has counted the dimples on a golf ball.
-
I haven't. Are they different flavoured or just coloured? The person below me can dish it out and take it.
-
Surprising he wouldn't want to retire with the team he's been a huge part of for so many years. I think this is just trying to see what he's worth.

From the article: Whee! Let's get rid of him!

Only if I get to go at night. The person below me had to think about that response.

The Winter Classic would be perfect. The huge crowd. The national exposure. The Original 6 rival of days gone by. Everything you could ask for... except rafters. Too bad they decided to play it outdoors.
-
I got my teeth cleaned. I'd say no. The person below me likes desert.
-
More is better unless otherwise noted. Arms or legs?
-
Don't worry. It only happened one time to each person. That was a nice dog.

I cut him some slack on the comments. Yes, he wasn't a gracious loser, but I think we all say things like that when no one is listening. It was the playoffs. He probably forgot that people outside of the Phoenix area listen to hockey players during the playoffs. The way he plays, I'd love him here.

I have to ask. John Davidson is on the selection committee. They say that hockey players have long memories. Some speculate that Dino's entrance was delayed due to ethical questionability. Could ethical issues from his days with the Blues be responsible for the delay? I think we're all agreed that all who were selected deserved it to one degree or another. Might this have been the deciding factor in having him be the odd man out? For what it's worth, "character" is listed as one of the requirements for election. I realize that there is no proof that he was nominated, but I think that's a given.

Yes, please, to Doan. Good guy and won't cost appendages.

Only if I need it. Jazz or opera?
-
I don't have any more fillings any more, but that's because all the teeth are gone. Before that I had at least 2 every 6-month checkup. Yeah. Brushing and flossing and all that. Hillbilly teeth. Sucks. The person below me thinks we should get Sammy backing since he's UFA.

Hand over heart and sing out loud and strong. America is not the land of the perfect, after all. One slice whole wheat toast, dry or four whole fried chickens and a Coke?
-
Not even close. I have two totally different work schedules. In fact, I'm eating a piece of chicken and I'm supposed to have been in bed hours ago. The person below me has had their life in danger.
-
Oh, heavens. Somewhere north of my IQ, I'd imagine. The person below me likes old-style mysteries (ie Agatha Christie).
-
Jelly beans. Grandfather clock or cuckoo clock?
-
I did pick up a new door and installed it yesterday. The person below me wears glasses or contacts or has had lasik.
-
I'm not real big on fireworks so if I go, I'm usually there for the social part of it. Mac and cheese: Homemade or from a box?

Right or wrong, success is measured by lots of people in Cups. If Holland gets one of Parise or Suter and we get a Cup, he will be hailed as a genius for getting the right one. If we don't get a Cup, many will be second guessing him and saying he got the wrong one. If both go for insanely high prices and he just failed to overpay, some will say it was a shrewd move and others will decry him for not trying hard enough. These are not all people, of course, but it seems like a lot of people have a "what have you done for me lately?" mentality. Look at Rafalski. He was hailed, then scorned, then respected in retrospect. I don't think that the moves Holland makes this summer will seal his legacy, but he has a good opportunity to add pieces we need to get another Cup or two. If he does well, and we get at least one Cup, people will use this summer to make a case for his greatness, but I wouldn't say that when we look back it will difinitively make or break him. EDIT: Unless he gets Parise, Suter, and trades everyone we don't like for someone a jillion times better and signs them cheap. Then it will make him the greatest, but I don't see that realistically happening. Just had to add it for completeness of thought. EDIT 2: Blast! I miss spellcheck!

Jordan Staal traded to Carolina, signs 10-yr, $60m extension
55fan replied to Salviaman's topic in General
Nope. Carolina's moving Jared and Eric to defense, and trading for Sid the Kid and Rick Nash. Crosby, Staals, and Nash. Get a Young goalie and you've Got It Made. It's a Fair Game, so Teach Your Children Well. Had to throw that last part in. Just a Song Before I Go. -
Same state; different town. The person below me has a dishwasher.

Policy-wise? Union. Heart and roots? Confederacy. Crab or lobster?
