I don't think the question should be whether he tried to do it or not. It's obvious he did. The question is whether or not he realized it was an official, which I highly doubt he did. Seems like an honest mistake on his part that could have happened to any. But he is still responsible for his actions and will have to deal with whatever consequences come from this.

I think as long as he can handle hockey at the ahl level next year, he will absolutely be with the Wings some day. The guy works too hard to not make it assuming his game translates to pro hockey.Tsn guys mentioned how Kronwall assumed he was a first round pick, only to be told the Wings signed him undrafted lol
