The team has shown to step it up against the tougher teams, so I'm not worried. While they are far from perfect, there has been slow but steady improvement all season so far.

While the hit was definitely clean according to the rules, players just have to know when to let up on a big hit. That was one of those times. The hit on Pulk was in the numbers, and Miller was in a vulnerable position right from the get go. There is almost zero respect in the game these days.

While I feel bad for Pulk, I don't think him being out will hurt the team. He is kind of been a black hole of puck possession so hopefully Pulk can get some confidence at this level. And if he can't get the job done, call up AA. Losing Miller is the bigger blow. But an injury like this is pretty well what Andersson is for. So while the fourth line and PK took a little bit of a hit, I feel the top 9 has a good shot at being better.

What makes Larkin so exciting is that he seems to be more likely to become that type of player than to not. Even Wings management seems to think Larkin will 'become the Wings Toews'. Bob MacKenzie commented on that on TSN Radio a while back. Throwing around names like Toews and Price when it comes to the potential of Larkin and Mrazek. I do agree that in miracle land if Toews became a Wing he would instantly be the team's best player. But when it comes to Larkin vs Toews, what about 5 years from now? IMO that's what it comes down to if it came down to choosing between the two. Toews is a no brainer in the short term, of course.
