BELIEVE!!!

Textbook underdog game so far. Sure the are giving up a lot of zone time, but very few great scoring chances for the Hawks.
-
We're looking good so far
-
3 points behind the rags with 3 games in hand. We're far from out of it, just got to hang in there until we get bodies back. Washington also isn't much of a concern at this point as we have 3 games in hand on them as well, and ROW advantage.

I accidentally started the same thing during last years playoff push, albeit not as early. But the games were just as nerve wrecking lol. And for the record, I don't remember starting this thread at all LOL. I guess my conscience decided my beard times begin without checking in with my memory while I was tanked last night. Edit: I also don't remember anything about temporary tattoos, but I guess that explains the giant carpet burn-looking monstrosity on my right cheek

GDT 3/14 GDT : Edmonton Oilers 1 at Red Wings 2 (F/SO)
marcaractac replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
This Edmonton sportsnet feed is embarrassing. Absolutely embarrassing. -
I'm glad it is now Philly we are chasing instead of Columbus. Philly is much more likely to s*** the bed than the Blue Jackets at this point.

Oilers played last night as well. BELIEVE!

We would literally have to sell the farm for him. Right off the bat you could say good bye to a couple of 1st round picks and Mantha. That would just be to get a conversation started. Would take a whole lot more on top of that.
-
If he didn't defend himself, everyone would be calling him a *****. There is no pleasing LGW lol

Detroit Red Wings @DetroitRedWings 54s UPDATE: Petr Mrazek will be starting tonight; Jimmy Howard has the flu #RedWings

Follow Stormin Norman@Stormin1Norman #Redwings Jiří Fischer visited Anthony Mantha a few weeks ago and told him he will be coming up to Detroit once his #LHJMQ playoffs are over

Trade Legwand to Detroit for Eaves, Jarnkrok + cond 3rd/2nd
marcaractac replied to gcom007's topic in General
Exactly. Abdelkader used to score a lot in the AHL too. -
But still, so many new players coming into our lineup these last couple years and that will continue. Babs is a good constant to have for the changing of the guard.
-
I don't see it. I can't Babs not coaching. He seems to enjoy it way too much. If it did happen, it would be an easy transition as we'd still get to hear the realguds.

Off topic, but with all the call ups to the Wings roster the Griffs had to deal with, they are still kicking ass. It's great to see.
-
I think we still can if we get healthy and get hot at the right time. Other than a few blunders in the last 3 games, the team has been playing real solid for the last 10 games or so. Getting Dats, Weiss and Helm back will also help a lot on the whole preventing us from getting scored on deal. The key IMO is finishing 2nd or 3rd in our division to avoid a first round match up with Boston or the Pens. If that happens, I think they can stay alive long enough to get Hank back.
-
Well said. We traded potential for established. We were in dire need of a center, and the trade had to happen. I'm very glad it did. Legwand is a great fit here. If that first line can keep it up until others get healthy, there is no doubt in my mind we make the playoffs. Hell, I still expect the team to finish 3rd in the division. BELIEVE

He is like a welfare Hasek. If there has been one thing Mule has been since about 20 games into the season, it has been consistent. He was on a huge tear before his concussion, and he has been tearing it up since his return. With the playoff push on, I'm confident he'll keep busting his ass.

It is a hindrance for sure. Obviously it all comes down to what the injury it is. A bum knee, with the right treatment guys seem to tough it out for things like the playoffs. A hernia though, just makes so much extra work trying to skate at that level. Homer could probably have dealt with it with his style of game (and the fact he was an awful skater anyway). Definitely a tough one to deal with for a center.
-
You're misunderstanding what I'm saying completely. I didn't say performing with injuries. I'm saying you can't compare working hurt in a preplanned match with competing in the highest level of hockey. Injuries take their toll on both. But in real sports injuries make it harder to keep up. In wrestling, the opponent can help work around an injury. It's a dumb thing to compare.
-
john cena doesn't have to skate and compete against world class athletes. it's one thing to be hurt and carried through a scripted match. It is another to have an injury hampering you competing in a real sport.

QUICNEY?!? *dies*

This new line is something else.
