Standings, the good the bad and the ugly

Habs and Canucks are ******* useless

Ottawa is ahead because of their game in hand. You're up, Vancouver.

3/12 GDT - Red Wings at Sharks - 10:30 PM EST

I mean, lets keep him. Get more of the same this time next year. Also very unlikely there would even be a market for him at next season's deadline. May as well let him play out the contract and cut ties with him then. But if Holland is still here, I fully expect a 3-4 year extension.

Has Blashill finally lost the team?

    YES PLEASE

    2018 draft , who's your 2 picks in 1stR

Well, that scenario would keep the top two players in the draft out of the east. I'd still rather the 3rd over all than 5th. Rather Chicago get Dahlin that the ******* Habs

    Dennis Cholowski

    I'm still salty about that.

    Dennis Cholowski

Hopefully he can become the Kronwall to Dahlin's Lidstrom.

    2018 draft , who's your 2 picks in 1stR

I'd choose to move up to 3. Odds are odds. I want them to increase no matter what. I do not care about Chicago's odds. I just want ours to be the highest they can be.

    2018 draft , who's your 2 picks in 1stR

If we win Dahlin, all aboard the JT train.

    2018 draft , who's your 2 picks in 1stR

Even if we win the draft lottery, would Dahlin be a sure thing with Holland at the Helm?

Habs have passed us. You're up, Sens.

I'd be okay with a top 5 pick next year as well. Let's speed up that rebuild!

Standings, the good the bad and the ugly

Luckily I think we could still do worse and increase those odds yet. So feel free to pass us, Habs, Sens and Canucks

Next contracts for the young guns

Yeah, Holland just locks up role players to long term deals instead

Some good news for Holland haters

It lasted this long, hasn't it? Gary and friends will never admit to the mistake of hockey in Arizona. As long as Gary is around, so will the Yotes.

Next contracts for the young guns

Larkin has the drive, work ethic, and skill to be a core player on this team for a long time. If he ends up on a bridge deal now, he'll end up making big money in his 30s. An 8 year deal for him now would also mean having him on a lower cap hit in his prime years instead of having him on too high of a cap hit in his 30s. 8 years is the obvious route for Larkin IMO. He's only gonna keep getting better.

    Wings Interested In Resigning Green

Green being re-signed should not block the likes of Hronek and Hicketts. There are plenty of blueliners on this team who could and should be axed to free up roster spots.

Next contracts for the young guns

Lock Larkin in for 8 years. Contract would turn into a steal in a couple years. Bridge deals lead to a big contract where you overpay for a declining player. Let's avoid that. Bridge deals for AA and Mantha are more reasonable, as they still have more to prove in terms of putting in the effort night in and night out.
  22. He kicked tires well on this one.

Mrazek traded to Philly for Conditional 3rd and 4th Picks

You just explained why he should have been kept.

Mrazek traded to Philly for Conditional 3rd and 4th Picks

While true, he's been quite good for nearly two months now. All season long he has shown signs of improvement, just never had the playing time to find himself in a groove until January.
