False. This guy lists 5 players who might be moved, you list 8 who "must go". Quite the difference there. We're not shipping out 8 players at the deadline. That isn't realistic. We'll likely see two of them go, maybe three. So yes, yours is a fantasy.

The Dekeyser deal was the right one at the time. An argument can be made for the Ericsson deal being the right one at the time as well. Hindsight sure is a *****, eh? I don't think the Helm deal is bad at all. I have no doubt he'd have value to other teams in a trade is he has to be moved. The Abby contract is the only bad one, and that's due to length. The disney.com deal is another dumb one, though not crippling.

Faith in his drafting and trades, absolutely. Now if we could put someone else in charge of contracts... I've always gotten sick of the Rags being in on seemingly every big piece of trade bait and UFA. Glad to see it has finally caught up to them.

Missing Dahlin will not be a fail. Even the league's worst team only has about a 20% chance at him. Sure winning the Dahlin sweepstakes would greatly speed up the rebuild, but by no means is it a fail if the #1 pick isn't won.

I think he is a safe enough bet to be a top 6 center for a long time. Locking him in max term now can be huge for the cap in a few short years. Of all the long contracts Holland has thrown around these last few years, Larkin is THE one who actually should be getting one.

This is why Mantha and AA should get bridge deals, and Larkin should get his 8 year deal this summer.

Basically, if Mantha is gonna continuously have these scoring droughts, he better damn well learn to make himself useful elsewhere on the ice as well.

I agree. I think there can be some forgiveness if a young player is making some mistakes for sure. But when it comes to an apparent lack of effort for long stretches, I say ***** away and it's justified. Like when Larkin has a tough night, it's easy for me to be understanding of that as a fan, as even during a rough game he is still working his ass off. The same cannot be said for Mantha right now. He has flat out been bad lately. At least Franzen still had value to the team when he wasn't scoring, as he was still really good defensively.

I personally think he has been very disappointing these last few weeks, but am hopeful it's just growing pains. If this is what we continue to see from him over the rest of the season, criticism will be well warranted (not that it isn't warranted now by any means).

Trade Howard. Retain salary. He can be moved if Holland wants to move him bad enough. At this point there is no choice but to ride Mrazek for the time being.
