What I like about his mask is that he knows who he is. He represents Grand Rapids and Detroit on the mask. Not some goalie that says if I don't play in the NHL I'm going home. Refreshing attitude hope he isn't up here so they can showcase him for a trade be a shame after painting such a wonderful mask.

I think the power play will see a bump when White and Sammy return may sound ridiculous but they offer more options. All the eggs are in that first power play line. Gotta bring the captain or Pavel off the 1st power play and balance out the second one and stop blaming Cleary.

So if the Winter Classic gets cancelled what are you going to do? I'll be pretty ticked off and at this point I'll be happy to have my money back. I wonder how long it will take to get credited, better not be any funny business, or silly games from the NHL or ticketmaster, I also think the NHL will need to do some damage control and would think it would be very big of them to cut their losses and pay the service fees but yeah right I seriously doubt it. Im glad I got a hotel with a cancellation policy. I feel bad for those that didnt. Will I buy again in 2014 if they re-schedual? Thats a hard question to answer right now, my heart says I love the wings love the game of hockey I love the idea of being 1 of 100 000 plus fans in an outdoor rink making history, but my head says turn your back to the NHL, everyone really should leave those areas empty for a good year make them all feel like they are playing on long island all year long, again wishful thinking, if I dont take those seats someone else will and I'll miss the experience. It will be a real shame.

After some thought about what to do and now with clear options from the NHL Im surprised to say that I am thinking about holding on to my tickets. I would honestly love to get my money back and buy back the seats in a years time but someone pointed out that Murphys law dosnt allow you to be so lucky. So rather than gamble away this opportunity to watch the game I love most between the 2 teams I love to watch play each other the most. Im leaning towards keeping the tickets. In a years time if they are playing I think I would be very disappointed if I was not a part of this event. As a fan of the game Im going to be selfish and think about me and not about trying to screw the league or the players by not going. I really really hope for the city of Detroit and the state of Michigan, the province of Ontario and the city of Toronto and for the good of the NHL that they come to an agreement sooner than later and play some hockey this year so that it gives fans a chance to "get over this" so next year this event can be everything Mr I dreams it is, for the good of the game for the fans for the economics of Michigan.

This is playing in my mind as well Im glad I have a few days to decide. One thing I am asking myself is hypothetically speaking if the winter classic tickets were available to be purchased a year in advance would I have bought them? Im sure I would have I am reminding myself this is The Wings and the Leafs in something I will probably never see again in my life. I dont want to kick myself a year from now and start frantically running around trying to get tickets to this thing because I forgot what happened this year. As angry as I am with the NHL I am surprised that I am leaning towards keeping the tickets till next year even though the "thing to do" should be to get my money back

So far I havnt heard a thing about Johan Franzen this fall is he working out with the team in Detroit? I havnt heard of him playing in Europe, what is he doing sitting at home having "fun"? There has to be some other missing wings too, but it makes me wonder about this guy.

Because its a package deal, if the season is lost would you rather have the ohl ahl and college games or save the whole package till 2014, see where im going with this? Will there be a second chance in 2014 or will the winter classic go to another city because they played out the ohl ahl and college outdoor games.

So for anyone out there that might get a later email I thought i would share my observations... Last night I logged in and was looking at the tickets available I was hoping to get green seats but it took me to best seats in the blues corner section 15 the seats seemed to fill up from row 88 across seats 1234 .. then to the next row the seats avail bounced around from rows 88 to 96, I tried 3 seats and I got a little lower row 66 but it also jumped up to the 90s as well. I watched the trend through the night hoping some better seats might get released this morning, section 15 must have got bought up because it jumped to section 27, I didnt want to gamble any longer as Im guessing the trend would be to fill up 27 over to the next corner. Im just really happy I get a chance to go, my friends here in Toronto are like what what what how? Big Smile on my face today.

I really liked him when he played for the Canadian Junior team years back, I was a bit shocked to read they signed him but at the same time Im kind of excited to see what happens next year now. Sometimes guys do better with a change of scenery, lets hope he is one of those guys. Id actually like to see him and Cleary on a line together.

even though he is really old he is really competitive, imagine you had a floater on your team cough Fr -cough-ranzin... and you have Dom backing up that night and your lazy ass shift is over and you skate back to the bench and then you get ripped in half by Hasek. All the guy ever wanted to do was win, theres nothing wrong with a guy like that on your team.

Last I heard the Wings wanted to get tougher and grittier, Iginla is much more tougher and gritty than Semin so I vote for a trade with Calgary.
