I feel like this is to replace Hudler plain and simple. Holland is no way done and I still see us landing Suter and either Parise or Semin to round us out, or making a few moves if we miss out on them. People saying that this takes us out of the running for Parise or another top-six forward are just blowing this way out of proportion. -

They came back and said that this was a mistake and Suter HAD NOT picked his team, thought they have an "insider" who says he will. At least thats what DSN was posting on Facebook, so take it for what you will. -

No way, he may want a 12 million signing bonus but no way he is also asking for 12 million in salary, maybe 1-2 million. He wants the signing bonus so he is set in case of a lockout cause he would get that upfront. -

Thats why I think they will iron out a new agreement. It will most likely come down to the wire, but I'm hoping both sides realize how much damage a lockout would do and how much more they would lose from a lockout instead of just giving some ground in negotiations.

The really weird/interesting thing would have been that it would have been Sutter coaching a team through the top 3 seeds in the West to go on and face a team coached by Tortorella and lead by Richards, just like in the 04 SCF, with Sutter coaching Calgary and Tortorella coaching Tampa Bay. -

We only set one NHL record, for the playoff appearances we only set a Franchise record. The NHL record in 29, and would be 46 if Montreal had made the playoffs in the 1969-1970 season.

And there is a reason for that, Kindl has played terribly while Ericsson and Quincy have played well with some exceptions. I'm not saying keep both of them, but keep one and get rid of Kindl and the odd one out.

Get rid of Kindl before Ericsson or Quincy, and pass on Semin, especially at that cap hit. And why the hell would you want to get rid of Helm??? He isn't and probably won't ever be a top 6 forward, but he has amazing speed and is great on the PK, and for s decent cap hit I would bring him back in a heartbeat.
