The National Hockey League does not have a salary cap of any sort, but the existing NHL CBA contains clauses that limit the minimum compensation for all players and the maximum entry-level compensation for players under the age of 25. Article 9 of the NHL CBA limits the maximum yearly compensation for rookies to just over $1 million in salary and 50% of that in signing, reporting and roster bonuses. Performance bonuses are not affected. After a length of time determined by the age of the player when the first contract was signed (not exceeding three years) the limits come off. I hope this to do away with talks of paying a rookie 5mil a year...crazy.

The only reason he didnt stay a shark was because they needed to free up room for burns, with that being said white has been stuck on s***ty 'd' teams intill san jose where he did well. Thus i see no reason as to getting rid of him he has done well here and continue what he has done the last 2 years.

Why would we get rid of white again? I must of missed something...

For sure, I am in on semin because i don't see us getting parise. After semin there is a drop that screams bring in the trades. As for hudler i wish him luck on someone elses roster.

There also having issues in net, even though vokoun had a bad season last year. This will be a motivation for fleury to start playing more consistant or lose to a well established goalie.

This is dead on...and as far as im concerned i would be very pissed to have him in the winged wheel starting next season. I believe him to be lockeroom cancer at this point with his past comments on his own efforts and his current issues. Furthermore on the basis of work ethic we all do what we have to do to get the job done at work...franzen isant, and for a professional to basically come out and say his best efforts are there because of his lack of interest get my blood boiling.
