Man the Blues were just hitting hitting hitting and didn't much seem to care about the implications. It would have killed them to lose that game but now I thunk the Hawks have to come out of their comfort zone a little bit and push back.

One more thing, the Lightning D didn;t look all that great handling the puck at any point where you'd HAVE to back off the forecheck. In fact they bumbled it enough I think I'd like to see Helm, Tatar, Nyquist and especially AA act like heat seeking missiles and really disrupt their outlets/breakout/control, like Dallas used to do and the Wings somewhat adopted it. I truly thought there was gold to be mined there tonight but it didn't happen often enough or long enough.

Things to clean up like faceoffs, communications between forwards and defense as there were some troubling situations of backside defense going to the net unmarked, and the powerplay must pot one. Don't care how just knock one home. Nyquist and Tatar, one of you please live up to your lofty press clippings. A solid road game, I thought Blashill did well and most importantly, sans an 8 minute hard push by Tampa in the third nothing that says the Wings can't compete in, or win this series. Better effort next game and maybe a couple lucky hops will come our way.
