Tonight wasn't the most action packed game I've ever seen. But it had its moments. Lots of good looking Red Wing fans including a contingent of Swedes wearing the Tre Kronor sweaters and replete with viking hats. But let's get to the fun: Wings on the attack in the first period. How do you know it's the first period? Red Wings attacking in my end and Weiss is still playing. The very beginning of Abdelkader getting rubbed out good in the first period. We can't show you any more of this play because DECENCY! What do we want? Cleary! When do we want it? NOW! The Mule, the BIG goal. Remember the scene in Fast Times at Ridgemont High where Brad Hamilton gets fired from All American Burger for a dust up with a customer only because a coworker had to piss? "I hope you had a helluva nap Henrique!" Tatar unassisted, but loved by many........And there was much rejoicing

Off to the Prudential Center for the game in the next few minutes. I'll be sporting a Zetterberg Winter Classic sweater and in honor of tomorrow a MICHIGAN STATE hat. I'll say 5-3 Wings. I have decent seats so hopefully I can post some action shots later tonight. GO WINGS!!

Looks like we have ourselves a bona fide winning streak! Just got tickets for the Prudential Center Friday night. Hopefully they beat Philly to keep the streak going til I see them Friday.

I'm happy with this. If he'd have hit the free agent market who knows what the Red Wings might have had to play a replacement for what they already had. He's improved greatly with time, he's solid, and the cap hit isn't bad. Nice!

I am of the mind that the pieces to win (I mean they are technically 'winning' now but they're not destroying things, you know Lilja Smash, that sort of thing) but they haven't hit the right combinations yet. This is a deep and experienced group of forwards. The kids earned their varsity letters in last year's run. They just need to hit on the right combos. I'd say if they decide that no, they don't have what they want see what Franzen would bring on the open market. If it's not enough don't make a deal. Just get in the playoffs.
