Wings certainly made an impression on Rags fans after the first period

I like it and it's the closest we're going to have to a Photoshop war this season I fear.

While the Wings are floating tonight I thought I'd share a story of a night before Thanksgiving game (back when I drank). The Wings were playing the Blues and we were about three rows up above the glass at the end the Blues shot at twice. This is before nets but not before the Blues had Al MacInnis. I'm not kidding, every time he wound up the people just above glass-line were cringing and trying to duck down behind anything we had, programs, pizza boxes, it was like a dangerous carnival ride. If you emerged unscathed it was all in good fun. We then hit the Post bar and closed it and then of course one must choose American or Lafayette Coney Island. It's at this point, as you're walking to your car at 4 am you see people coming out of the dark one, then two then small bunches and you realize, these people are here to work or get seats for the parade in a couple hours. That'll give you a jolt. your night ends as the next day begins.

Listen to those fans booing and jeering all that fighting. Turning their backs and texting the babysitter they're on the way home. Hear them? Me either. YEAH!!! Not bad for a Tuesday night in November.

Since i refuse to pay top $ for NHL Center Ice in SD which it what is offered I often have to interpret games via stats and how those play out period to period. Kind of an unimpressive win tonight. Glad they got it, I'd have had a whole different take if they'd have lost. Being at home vs a team as bad as AZ, they weren't overly impressive in SOG, PIM, PP, lost on hits, blocks were about even, so yes they won but it wasn't like they really had the distance between the Coyotes and what we expect of the Red WIngs.

I am a calm and reasoned individual. I cannot tell you how many times I've watched people make panicky decisions for some reason in business and I'll happily get paid to clean up the mess. That being said it is at this point I would change head coaches. The Tigers swapped out Les Moss after about ten games for Sparky Anderson. Make the change, you'd long-since forgotten who Les Moss was. It serves two purposes, it says Blashill had a year and a bit to get something, anything right and it looks like a backslide to me. Also, think back to the 'Lolligag the ball around the infield" shower scene in Bull Durham where the kids got scared that it was their rear ends on the line now. I think it's time

Anaheim Ducks forward Patrick Eaves is in stable condition in Newport Beach’s Hoag Hospital after being diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome, the team announced on Monday. The condition is a disorder that causes the body’s immune system to attack the peripheral nervous system. Bob McKenzie's take, it's not going to just be about AA

Strong third periods the last two nights, outscoring the opponent 6-0. That's something to build on and a sure confidence builder. Also nice to hear Wings fans own another road arena.

Niemi did what Fleury did before him, tripped heading out to the ice and then the Penguins get paddled in both games. OK, I laughed at the Hawks dropping a dime on the defending champs.

Anyone else see that Athanasiou was an answer on Jeopardy?

It sounded like it wanted to be the old horn, but then somebody took all the buttons and pushed them all up to 11 and then recorded it.

A big win for the ballclub tonight. Always good to get off on the right foot. Nice to see the young guys come out with so much energy and lift their play.

Another year of getting the Wings when they play NYR, NJD & Fish Sticks or NHL Network. For the FIFTH straight season Comcast doesn't/won't open a bank of HD channels for NHL Center Ice and I refuse to pay the same price for the package as those who get it in HD. Counting on everyone here to provide me with that top shelf analysis. I can usually get a great feel for how the game is going 2-3 pages and the tragic late losses and heroic late wins are some of the best posts. Game on
