Columbus got into town at 3AM and played a tough game last night -- and WE look sloppy and tired. Why is that?

I would be pissed if they made me talk to Roenick. And yes, hand the man a stick and put him out there, it could do nothing else BUT help us, at this point. Not sure what will, seriously. Uninspired, even tonight.

Lidstrom in the house? And people who live nearby won't attend...? That's a shame, the place should be full of appreciative fans, if for no other reason than to honor the former Captain. I would love to predict that the Wings have this one and two points, but it's NBC again. We haven't won very many under their mouldy, biased coverage. Those of us far away with gamecenter get no coverage even if FSD is broadcasting, so have to hope the NBC affiliates show the game. Too bad the stadium game this weekend is blighted by NBC too. I am sure it's all a coincidence

I have been there a couple of times, and yes, lots and lots of Canadian Sabres fans, for sure, being right on the border. Beautiful arena, I thoroughly enjoyed the games I've attended, despite being from Texas and dealing with -10 degrees and snow. Buffalo fans are far harder on their own team than the visitors - and once, it was the Wings, even. Gentle jabs, all in good fun. Another game I attended in Buffalo was Sabs vs. Montreal - it was a different matter! They HATE each other, but I don't blame them for hating the Habs (I do, too!). It got pretty chippy, in the stands and on the ice! I still love the history and atmosphere there. I am glad the local businessmen saved the Sabres from bankruptcy and Adelphia... great fans in Buffalo, they deserve the team and the great performances the Sabres are putting up this season. I have no idea what the signs mean, either, by the way. LOL~

Me, too. I can't wait for the articles tomorrow where they trot out the excuses, and we should have played better. Yes. Everyone except Jimmy Howard, who was stellar, even stopped a penalty shot. But not good enough for his team mates to score a goal for him. The refs literally tried to hand this game to the Wings. Nada. Shame on them.

Jimmy got second game star (Lundy 1st, of course). Jimmy Howard deserves better than a team full of skilled players who simply refuse to score even one goal for him, from all evidence. He was spectacular tonight - but you cannot win if no one scores a goal. As much as I'd hate to see him go, I hope everyone who wants him gone gets their wish and he gets traded. It could hardly be worse for him elsewhere.

OK, that's not right. Jimmy deserved so much better than this. I am sorry, Jimmy, on behalf of fans who still think you're a great goalie.

I wouldn't blame the Rags if they said the officials are trying to hand the Wings this game -- except for the fact that the Wings are failing to accept it.

If the Wings don't consider this a blessing from the hockey gods and go SCORE A DAMNED GOAL now, then they will be punished. We don't get many breaks like this one.

Turnover in front of Jimmy, and he gets kicked in the head... so yay, Rangers score.

Howard was the only Wing to show up in the 1st... hence we are not yet trailing by a couple of goals.

Neither team is playing to win. I wish the Wings would step it up here.

Wings have no short-handed goals this season, only team with none. I believe it.
