If we went into the playoffs with this team, I'd be terrified...

I feel like the Wild would be a terrible decision unless they're going strictly for money, and even then, like posted above, it's been said that Philly offered the most money.

Fil wont' be put back to the third line, especially when you have both abby and helm available.

I pulled this number from another thread, should have checked the math. I hate the Sammy signing because I feel like we're pretty much going to lose Flip or Franzen. I wouldn't mind losing Franzen, but I believe Flip is too valuable at this point. 12 Million isn't enough to sign both Suter and another top 6 forward, nor do we have roster space for one without a trade.

We needed to replace Hudler with someone better though, and Sammy is barely, if at all any better. This also kind of forces us into a trade where we could very well loose Flip, which is a terrible situation.

That isn't a stanley cup roster. That's an out in the first round again roster. What cap space? We now have ~8 mil to spend if we resign abby

Getting rid of Flip, like some of you have said, would be af****** terrible idea. Yeah, I understand who we'd get in a trade, but our offense would still be s***. 2nd line of Cleary, Bert, and Sammy? Yeah, that seems like a good one!

But the teams that got some of those players are going to go farther in the playoffs than we have... I'm not sure if you're aware, but you can't win the cup being beaten in the first round.

I originally voted "too harsh" before I watched the suspension video, after it I went back, deleted my vote, and voted just right. This idiot deserved it.

Get players to enhance the core players on our team, not completely create an all new team, it'd take way too long to get a winning team out of it.

You want to trade 2 of our top 3 players? Flip and Z carried this team for over half of the regular season, yet you blame them because we don't have the tools in our lineup to protect them and give them the opportunities they need? What the hell is wrong with you? How about we finally get 6 top 6 forwards on the team instead of just 3? Trading away 2 of them kinda just puts us in a bigger hole.

I'm getting so damn tired of seeing fights after clean hits. It seems goons are taking over this game in a bad way... I think this looks clean to me, the announcers seem like morons...

We still only seem to have 1/2 of our offense giving a damn game in game out. Out of our top 6, the only ones consistently working every shift of every game is Dats, Z, and Fil. The rest float around until they can grab an easy goal that got set in their lap. None of the other 3 in the top 6 creates opportunities, they just benefit from the hard work of the other 3. It's really frustrating to watch. The other problem I see in every game is that our powerplay lines are messed up. STOP PUTTING HOLMSTROM ON THE DAMN ICE FOR POWERPLAYS. He's not the player he used to be, and another player would be FAR more effective.

Fair enough, If they did suspend Weber they'd probably just have given Z a game misconduct on the first play of the next game anyway.

I actually had this same thought as well. I honestly believe that he does have pressure coming from the league that will somewhat influence his decision. Having certain players out for a game or 2 (like Weber for instance) turns the tables greatly in Detroit's favor, and that wouldn't be good for the Preds fans. At the same time, it's the players who are doing the actions, they are the ones who would be letting the fans down, and just allowing this s*** to happen is going to get someone seriously injured. I'd hate to see someone's career end because goons can be goony with no fear of retribution from the league (who seems to actually defend these actions by keeping things like the instigator rule in effect...)

I completely agree that it was a dick move, but I do feel like posters here have double standards. I like Bert, I like Weber, both did terrible things, though I think both were in the heat of the moment and genuinely out of character for both. I can call it what it is, it was a terrible, douchebaggy move, I just don't think one douchebaggy move makes someone a douchebag. Side note: I do believe this deserved some sort of suspension and am pretty pissed it didn't get one. This seems like EXACTLY what the league is trying to get out of the game.

Next season is the last on contract for Fil, think he'll get resigned, and if so how much do you think he'll bring in?

He was on the 3rd line, for like 4-5 games, and was equally as terrible there as he had been.

I have a couple of questions for anyone who can answer. I've never been to an autograph signing like this, but plan to go to this one. Do you need to get advance tickets? How long are the waits usually? Also, the thingy on the side mentions photos and pucks, do they also sign jerseys that we bring? If anyone could answer for me that would be great!
