    I'd rather try to trade and sign. Get a guarantee he will sign then trade big assets (Franzen, Fil, Ericsson, 1st) then go after Semin and Doan.

    Franson isn't better than Kindl. Having a RH dman isn't worth bringing poor dmen in. We could trade for Enstrom instead of Yandle but I think Yandle is all around better and younger.

    Ya this is getting old fast. At least we have peace of mind knowing Holland and Illitch went balls out on this one. I don't see why they wouldn't increase their offer to a 7.5mill cap hit and max out there rather than 6.9mill.

    This is such playground antics with the "package deal." Grow up and do what is right for yourself and stop trying so damn hard to be together. It seemed fine the whole time they played apart, they never requested a trade to be together so why is this a huge deal now. The wild are garbage and if they go there just to be together then I think Parise's fiancé should be worried that Suter really has his heart.

    Exactly. Parise has a chance to win with the cast we have NOW with a few young guys filling in over time (same in Pitt, Philly). Budgeting the future to play with a team of kids that MIGHT make it big and develop before Parise retires is not the greatest scenario.

    Ya, Nash isn't 24 anymore. Asking for 3 top roster players and 2 top prospects and 2 picks that could become top prospects gives you a total of 7 potential top players for 1. I don't think thats happening anywhere. Id say 1 top 6 forward, 1 top 4 dman, 1 top prospect, 1 pick (2nd rounder) is more than fair.

    No way nash is worth half of that. Two of our 5 Dmen? They have plenty. The won't get 2 first rounders either. Filppula, Franzen, 1st would be an overpayment considering Nash's age, contract, and point production.
