That said, Kindl will likely have a chip on his shoulder, so it is entirely possible he rips one or two tonight, hopefully he doesn't have unofficial assists on any for Florida. Smith's B-day? Yep, that puts those rumors to rest, and the money is about what I thought he'd get (I was guessing he'd get 7.5-8 for 7 years). The shorter term is a bit of a coup for Cheveldayoff. I guess the question now becomes, do they sign Ladd or trade another D man since they have some cost certainty with Buff now. Enstrom would be good trade bait.

I would guess if they went 4 on 3 and the shorthanded team took a penalty they can't go 4 on 2, and they can't let a guy out of the other box early.

Larkin probably helped his case for ROY this weekend. The game doesn't count in the stats, but breaking the fastest skater record and three assists in the tourney probably got him on the radar of some journalists who didn't have him there before.
