3/29 GDT - Red Wings at Canadiens - 7:30 PM EST

Captain obvious here but the 2 games against Boston and Philly determine this season.

Dude i'm not usually a panic button pusher but with 5 games left we are on the outside looking in and on the wrong side of the games played ledger, if the sky isn't falling it's pretty close.

Exactly, when we are good we usually can't score and when we are bad we give up one chance and it ends up in our net.

I think the most frustrating player right now for me is Z. He gets put into so many spots where he can make plays and everything goes to the outside, stickhandles into the corner. He went to the net a couple of times at the end of the game. When he's playing good he gets pucks to the net. This team is pretty average and we have about a 50% chance of making the playoffs.

We go up 3-0 early 3rd, give up two late ones, everyone here has a jammer, we win.

3/28 GDT : BUFFALO SABRES AT DETROIT RED WINGS, 7:30 PM ET

Honestly a Bowman reference? He hasn't coached in Detroit in 14 years, attempt to live in at least the current decade please. He got totally lost on the 3-2 goal but made a couple of great pad saves late.........................and he won. I like winning.

3/28 GDT : BUFFALO SABRES AT DETROIT RED WINGS, 7:30 PM ET

I've avoided both for all 37 years of my Canadian life so I am a little uneducated on either place but from what I hear......

3/28 GDT : BUFFALO SABRES AT DETROIT RED WINGS, 7:30 PM ET

The Jets missed the net 17 times in OT, it was bound to end up in disaster sooner or later. Garbage
  9. True but the problem with that is you have to have smart d men who know when to pinch and we don't have one. Not a single one. I liked the Green signing because he was medium risk high reward but he's turned out to be high risk with 0 reward. Really the last 20 games or so have been goaltending, Mrazek was being talked about for the Vezina in some circles and now he can't stay in a game without getting pulled. Bad goaltending has completely exposed our average d.
  10. I'm confused, we have struggled to score goals all year...our style is still the same, if anything we are worse offensively under Blashill.

    Fixing this mess....

Stopped reading at Tangradi, cmon. You land Stamkos by making a hockey trade, trade whatever you have to. A combo of Tatar, Gus, Mantha, Picks, Prospects. Whatever you have to do. Larkin and Stamkos going forward would be scary. Mrazek in net. Shore up the D and it would be unstoppable I think.

3/15 GDT : Red Wings at Philadelphia Flyers, 7:30 ET

At this point I would rather be 4 pts back and playing great than 1 pt up and playing like hot garbage. People are slamming the D but this has been our problem since day 1 , we don't have a number 1. I love Kronner but he's a # 2, Green and DK are 3/4 and all the rest are 5/6. We have a whole pile of average d men. They can't get the puck up the ice and have no idea how to jump into the play. Tons of games left...lets get on a run here. LETS GO

Can Not Score. End Of Story.

3/12 GDT : New York Rangers at Red Wings, 2:00 EST

Inability to put the puck in the net just kills this team.

    Larkin needs a rest

Same thing has happened with Mrazek, not used to playing this many games at such a high level. Problem is we need these guys to be good now, no time to rest. Suck it up future millionaires.

3/8 GDT : Red Wings at Columbus Blue Jackets, 7:00 EST

Does this team want to make the playoffs? If this is the best we can get out of our guys at this point of the year you have to seriously look at the coach. At least with Babs you knew he was putting the fear of god into some of these guys. That was sad.

3/2 GDT : Chicago Blackhawks at Red Wings, 8:00 EST

Our D is just not good enough to compete with teams like this. Turn the puck over too much, too slow, bad positioning. Quincey gets completely exposed in games like this. tl;dr They are really good, we are kinda good.

2/29 GDT : Detroit Red Wings at Dallas Stars, 8:30PM EST

What a horrendous play by E, he's better off icing it than that terrible attempt at a clear . Garbage

Nyquist is starting to remind me of Taylor Hall from a couple of years ago, legs are always moving but he doesn't appear to be getting anything done.

2/29 GDT : Detroit Red Wings at Dallas Stars, 8:30PM EST

I have a wild idea NHL, why dont we just let people kick the damn puck in the net, what is the big deal. That way there is no grey area. Rocket science.

That was determined a long time ago..It's impossible to understand how a person can call themselves a fan and be negative about everything

2/29 GDT : Detroit Red Wings at Dallas Stars, 8:30PM EST

I don't disagree but the league has grey area'd so many rules its impossible to know. Like with kicking they basically say as long as his skate doesn't come off the ice it's not a kicking motion...which it didn't. I don't know about you but I can kick the s*** out of a puck with taking my skate off the ice. Brutal

    Jakub Kindl traded to Panthers

What is he worth then? He falls right into the value of what similar players make. Just because you don't like him doesn't make his value less. I hate to tell you but 4 million is a pretty pedestrian cap hit these days. Similar players in his range are Emelin, Larson, Brodin, Tanev, Coburn....Would I prefer some of these guys over E?? sure I would but his cap hit is right where it should be.
