Well this game is a wrap. Monday is massive. I'm nervous/excited already. We need to end this at the Joe, no nonsense of a game 7. Fans will be loud, team SHOULD be pumped up. Zetterberg back against Toews, and hopefully Dats to create some magic. Lets end this Monday night boys.

I love our team!!! The young line again played amazing. Nyqvist with speed and dangles. Andersson on the powerplay. Amazing. We struggled at times tonight, but the PK was unbelievable, and what can you say about Howard. Lets not give them any life, and finish this on Saturday night.

Great 60 minute game boys!!! So proud to see 5 RED wins at the top of the page, especially after last year only getting to 1. Game 3 is obviously big. Hawks are going to come out flying. If we can win game 3, things will look very good. Looking forward to Monday already!!

Sigh. I don't think Holland is the best in the business anymore. He's good, but he's been overtaken by other gm's. Ray Shero being one of them. If the rumour of Semin possibly accepting a 1 year deal is true, then why the hell aren't we all over that??? Yeah he has questions about his character and all that? but 1 year at 6 mill?? there's no harm in that, not when we have money to spend. We need help both offensively and defensively. The only thing I agree with in his statement is that we are set in goal.

Update: TSN is reporting that according to the Columbus Dispatch (newspaper), Nash has shortened his list to 6 teams. Bruins, Wings, Flyers, Sharks, Pens, Rangers. No canadian teams in the mix was their main point.

If we do nothing I'll be pissed at Holland standing pat with our current lineup. Biggest cap room we've had in years, and we do nothing? ridiculous. If we only sign Doan, I wouldn't be thrilled, but at least we did something. Sadly enough i think Shero is possibly the best GM in the league right now. Holland can still prove me wrong, but i don't know if he will.

Nash and Ryan's offers are going to heat up, and if Yandle is on the market, other teams aren't going to sit around. If we're making a play for nash or yandle, we need to pick up our bags tomorrow and get working on a suitable trade offers for these guys, not play some waiting game.

Almost agree with you. There's been terms before where i've questioned Holland. I still think he's a great GM, but he's sat on his hands far too often the last couple years for my liking. We don't need a veteran defenceman. At least, that's not the long term answer. We need a younger guy who's been around a couple years, and who can star on this team for years to come. (SEE: Keith Yandle) Offence by committee? yeah that worked real well the last 2 months of the season when we couldnt score more than a goal a game. We have cap room, we have a ton of forwards, lets do something, or we'll be 7/8 in the west at best.

Yup, glad we didn't go after Carle. No way do I want him for 6 yrs and 5.5 mill, way overpaid. Yandle's at 5.5 and a much better player. I don't know what they want, but lets make it happen. Lets not sit around and wait for 3 weeks, or he'll be snapped up.

hey that's fine guys, we didn't want to overpay Carle anyways. Lets see what he goes for. What we need to focus on is going after Yandle. But this gives more credence to the fact that Holland can't sit around and wait, other teams are not doing that, we need to make moves and make them now.

Suter was rumoured to go the Wings for Months. Everybody's been saying that. and our forward group is the same as last year pretty much, and we had severe trouble scoring the last few months of the season. We also badly need a top defenceman, the only one who seems to left (assuming Carle signs with tampa) is Keith yandle via trade.

Too much trying for the pretty goal. Should have been quite clear after 3 games, that We were struggling with goals, we should have been trying for the ugly goal, just firing everything at the net. Seriously can we get a PP coach please? One good thing about this was our PK was outstanding. It's so disappointing to wait 82 games for the best hockey of the year, which is playoff hockey, and then my team gets thrashed in the first round and goes down in 5. Hoping we do the right thing this summer, and let Homer and Stuart go, and splash the cash on Parise and/or Suter. Lidstrom obviously is free to do what he wants, he's earned that right. Would be nice if he comes back to get a bit of a discount on his current salary.

what a joke..1st team eliminated from the playoffs, EMBARRASSING. It's quite clear how badly we were outplayed, hell this could have been a sweep by Nashville. Howard came to play tonight, so did Zetterberg and Nyquist. Quincey was garbage and I fully blame him for the 1st Nashville goal. Stuart needs to go. Franzen and Flip were the massive disappointments for me. Hudler was a ghost for Games 1-3, at least did a bit in Games 4 & 5. Franzen needs to go, I don't care what we get in return. lets clear the cap space. I don't want to trade Flip, because he had a great year and still has some upside, but he had a terrible playoffs BRUTAL. Homer needs to retire. I love Lidstrom, and I hope it was the injured ankle that threw him off his game, but if he's going to come back it has to be at a discount. Otherwise we throw $7 mill @ Suter. We missed Helmer badly this series, it has to be said. Why couldn't we have gone after Cody Hodgson??? Big changes this summer (I.E. Parise and Suter at a minimum), or look for us to finish 5th/6th/7th in the west next year, and again get burned in round 1. The Central will only get better. .
