You and me both. Trading Mantha is a really risky move I just think nobody wants Tatar and Nyquist. Been watching Fowler he looks solid. Bomb from the point and real poise with the puck. Something our backend needs badly

I like their game plan yesterday. Flyers have a very potent offense and the wings played a great defensive game for the most part. I think for the offense right now it's just an issue with execution. Nobody can make plays in tight or with accuracy Good game from a coaching stand point. Just wish he'd stop relying so heavily on defense players so much. Sit Marchenko and then Ott when Vanek returns It would be cool if we kept track of usage on here and see how the teams trending in terms on players individual minutes played. Usually on my phone or else would look it up myself

I thought he played well. He did his job and knew why he was in the lineup that was good to see. Didn't have much time with the puck but the ol eye ball test conceded he never got much ice time? I'm not sure. Ott needs to sit

You could see Blashill's gameplay executed in this one. Honestly they were quite solid defensively but I think the problem is Blashill hasn't identified whose a defensive player and whose just bad at hockey. Marchenko and to a lesser extent DD. Not guys I want out there against a potent offense protecting a tie. With the forwards theirs just bad execution. Bad passes and brain farts but they look like their just not getting the bounces right now. Better game overall. I'd like to see Marchenko sat and DD not leaned on so heavily. Ott needs to sit as well

I don't think they want Mantha as a Holmstrom per say but more like Vanek. Good hands around the net, plays in the middle and finds holes to get his shot off We all need to pray Bertuzzi has an amazing game. Will bode well going forward using our prospects more. This team desperately needs some high energy guys that can make an impact offensively

Well theirs so much wrong with this team but I think a lot of what people are noticing is the wings can't win battles in the offensive and defensive zone. I'm pretty sure that's the thinking with calling up Bert before Mantha

I agree with you mostly but watching the leafs and watch the wings is a lot different. This team has no direction until we have someone on D to be excited about. I will say Holland could not have possibly predicted how every defense prospect was going to bomb. Is that bad drafting or bad luck idk but it's a little ridiculous. We have failed to draft an impact top 4 since kronwall. That's why we're a bad hockey team in 2016

There's a serious lack of creativity with this team. When teams stand us up at the blue line and for us to dump it in we have no game. Games like this make me think the roster is truly trash and not a coaching issue. Are these players really that bad? The only thing I can fault Blashill on in this game is motivation? I'm not sure. Makes me think our drafting in the last 10 years has been terrible. Sheahan, Helm, Abby and every single player on D are plugs on good teams. Abby had the so much time to show what he can contribute and I like him as a player but if he came through on a good team he wouldn't have been getting this pay day. Holland paid these guys for how valuable they were to the wings mediocre teams not how they are valued around the league

I had a positive outlook with our young players and prospects but I'm starting to realize we got a bad coach and GM and that's going to need to be taken care of first and foremost

To justify playing the defensive players so much they should be rock solid. Dekeseyer is a slightly above average defensive player that looks like he should be a good defensemen but doesn't have the fine touch in any aspect of his game. Knee high passes and zero poise with the puck. The guy has all the tools but lacks any kind of moxy. He's pretty much a frail Luke Schenn

The drop in individual players production since he took over is enough evidence for me personally. Nyquist and Tatar were 30 goal scorers entering their prime and now can barely break 20. Every player has taken a huge step back. Who is excelling under Blashill. A new system is implemented some players are going to respond to it better or worse that is expected but when every single player is much worse then you have to wonder if theirs some flaws in coaching. At this point this team hasn't identified a strength in two years. They're bad at everything. That is unacceptable from a coaching stand point

The D used to move up in the neutral zone and cause turnovers, re enter the zone quickly now they just sit back and try not to make mistakes. Sometimes it will cause headaches like that game against the Rangers but it's better than watching this dribble. Getting dominated in every area of the game is unacceptable I don't care what the roster is like The AA situation is especially terrible because now he's creating tension with a young player that's part of our future. He'll do the exact same thing with Mantha. At this point he is just relying on Babcock's old methods because he's clueless

This whole team is weak on the puck offensively and defensively. I think that's the biggest issue and why they're the worst possession team in the league. They need better puck support if they're going to be so weak and frail. That's when the wings looked good. Two men on the puck out numbering them and being relentless. They just stopped doing that

They look absolutely terrible sometimes the puck goes in for them and their goalie plays amazing but I've never seen a team this year get manhandled from start to finish like the wings. This roster is bad but not that bad. Blashill isn't getting the message to players I.e he's a god awful coach... players are winging it out there I can't wait for somebody to speak up
