Moving Z to the third line could be a big rallying moment for the team. Counting on him to score at this point is just ridiculous. There's nothing about his game that suggests he's an offensive threat and yet, we count on him game in game out to be our go to guy.

You're a coach and have been coaching this team for the last three months... in what world is Z a guy you still lean on heavily. AA is probably pissed... ice time is decided by resume. Blashill has no balls to run this team any other way than Babcock has

Imagine thinking Zetterberg would help a team score with 30 seconds left.... Not much difference between him and andersson at this point of their careers.... Him getting all our #1 centre ice time and PP time makes the wings a worse team. He isn't even close to being a gifted offensive player anymore

Abby's contract length is a little ridiculous but maybe holland was using the length as a safety measure. He wants to stay a wing until he breaks and then goes the LTIR route? Franzen's contract in hindsight didn't cost us anything and we got a lot out of him. It's a great way to make both parties happy

Whatever happens in the offseason, jurco and smith need to be traded for the sake of their careers. It's doing no good for the wings or themselves Abby is like the only guy close to his career projections. The fact that he's close to his career high while the entire team struggles so much offensively is one of the only positives of a piss poor year all around. Not to mention he's also our most physical presence easily and protects Larkin like its his job. I can't understand how people can not love Abby he's a beauty

After my rage has died down it would have been very surprising to win two huge games back to back like that given the kind of team we are. Would have been a story book way to get into the playoffs. But the way that just laid down and died was hard to watch. But again, it would have been a very tough win, not suprised they lost but the manner they did was awful

He's just shown too much respect to the vets... Z would have been benched by now if Tortarella was coaching

The worst part is when the wings played great it wasn't because of Z and Dats and Kronwall. That's why we're so inconsistent. Wings are only great when rookies and grinders or goaltending step up

I think Blshill's problem this year has been too much respect for the vets. If it wasn't for Datsyuk and Z's resume who knows where they would sit in the lineup. Z would be a borderline healthy scratch, especially after a game like this. His speed makes us a worse team when speed is our best asset. Blashill couldn't just walk in and start demoting Zetterberg, there's no way.

Sheahan could do as good as Z has been this year and probably better than Z will be next year. If we're gonna suck I would rather be young and cheap. 6.1M for Z for another hundred years is brutal for this team going forward. I'm starting to understand why Dats is leaving... For the sake of the team Z should just hang them up. Sheahan can do what he's done honestly. All his PP time guys just a very average hockey player. Likely to be outplayed by guys like Beleskey and Horvat... He's not a top 50 center in the league

Get Z off the first line first and foremost and go with fresh legs Wings need more Glendening, Helm, AA, Larkin those are the guys I'm leaning on for the third I know it's a back to back but you simply can't be that slow in an NHL game

All Boston is doing is applying heavy pressure on the puck carrier and transitioning quickly... If we didn't have an anchor on each line we could dump the puck and get zone time. Watching Z be first man on the puck on the forecheck or him trying to backcheck makes me want to pull out my hair. That's why we get embarrassed by free wheeling teams. Blashill has no answer for it, they just continue to try and pass the puck through people. Bruins game plan is risky but wings refuse to adapt
