Wings look dynamic in the O zone

Their in zone play is unbelievable I don't know how the D can play like this all night long

I like our forwards actually. Nobody can win when a defense plays like this

Wings are generally complete dog poo in their own end. From the forwards to the defense... Got a lot of rookies and Tatar and Nyquist they are not going to be good defensively but they can be good if they were able to play offense. They should be playing fast but the defense is good for nothing. Can't defend and can't move the puck. They have the ability to be much better but when they're bad the wings lose like this

It's disheartening watching this defense knowing their is no better option for a very long time.

I don't think the Wings have the loyalty in Blashill as we might think. What do we expect from them? Give him 5 years to develop? That's not really how coaching works when you're in the business of winning as much as possible. Wings would be foolish to not try and get a guy like Tippett if he became available. For what reason would it benefit the wings to carry on with an inexperienced coach? Pretty much every young coach bounces around teams before they establish themselves

Imo Blashill and his system and coaching in general is unquestionably the wings biggest issue. This team used to know how to score, who can you possibly blame for this other than the system. The shots per game and possession number don't lie, wings are all of a sudden a piss poor offensive team. Powerplay and penalty kill fall apart. Compare the stats all the proof is there. Management doesn't see Blashill's first year as head coach as a success, even if they squeak into the playoffs. Wings may manage to seed the same as with Babs but the hockey team in general is much worse in every way aside from goaltending

Blashill has not done a good job this year at all. He is a rookie and is still learning but this has been by no means a success for him. I don't think he's lost the confidence of the locker room but you can tell their is a sense of disorganization that nobody has any answers for. Blashill has to find some kind of identity by next year or he's gone. I wouldn't be that suprised if we miss the playoffs and he's fired for a more experienced coach. This season has been a failure in every way

Looked like a team that played the night before and didn't have a morning skate. Frustrating game. The D can't contain a grind it out game and they can't break the trap, they looked awful top to bottom Dats looked amazing though

I think our problem lately is the defense. Not only are they bad in their own end they can't move the puck at all. So many needless turnovers and our #1 pair now, DD and Q were the absolute worst. Quincey has been generally bad for weeks. Had a good stretch after coming off of injury but now I'm struggling to find what he's good for. Probably the worst puck mover on the team and his slow foot speed is really noticeable against a good forecheck

This might give them life going forward though. Wings always play down to the competition were probably pretty high on themselves for the come from behind wins. Imagine if they never pulled off those last two miraculous wins out of their arse. Could be looking at five straight losses

DeKeseyer and Quincey are known as defensive juggernauts because they're forced to play the whole game in their own zone because they can't pass the puck. I don't hold a lot of value in defensemen that can guard their own net well and not much else. Watching DD on the powerplay was embarrassing

The defense is so so so bad and Abby is the only guy on the team that's willing to screen the goalie. Datsyuk was incredible and Z is washed without him on his line

When have DD and Q been a good pair? I feel like I'm missing something, everyone always talking M about their chemistry

Pulled these last two W's our of their arse. Things would look a lot different right now without those late game heroics. Comfortable win tonight please

I guess we don't see the practices but you'd think Blashill would want to get Jurco going for the sake of the team because of how small we are. He may look unimpressive sometimes but he's doing no worse than other guys on that third line scoring role. Getting his mojo going would be huge for the team going forward

That guy was scary looking... Forgot his name. I don't think a half ass hockey fight is going to stop a team like Winnepeg from taking runs at us. Maybe if we had a guy like Buff or Burns teams would be reluctant but not a 30 second wresting match.. I mean hockey fight

20 goal season as a 19 year old rookie. Pretty impressive

Larkin and Datsyuk and probably AA (if he gets off that leash of Blash's) are like spark plugs. Move them into any line and they really get their linemates going. Need people that get the motors going
