Winnepeg is a super free wheeling team I wouldn't be surprised to see Buffs point totals drop pretty severely if he came here I also like the idea of adding Shattenkirk, he's on a really nice contract but he doesn't exactly help our lack of toughness

Mrazek flat out stole that game for us and even got an assist. 2 points in regulation, couldn't believe it. I thought we would be lucky to get the loser point through most of the game

Yeah he's been playing a pretty safe game, much like the rest of the defense. Unremarkable but solid. These last two have been tough games for the team

A lot of subtle interference. This was like a track meet for our guys skating around these big bodies. Larkin-Richards-Sheahan is a very nice line but the top six is just not threatening. I've never noticed how our size was such a disadvantage until this year. It makes us slower than we should be coming up ice. When you watch good teams play they take their ice, they don't weave through the opposing team. Defense had a rough night but I think that's because the Sharks played one of their better games, they must be frustrated lol. We still limited their high quality chances despite being outplayed and Mrazek was there to bail us out. Compared to years past, the zone coverage has been way better this year I've noticed

For Mrazek to make that save late in the third with the game tied and his team being outplayed, then they go down and score immediately after is just.... whew. These are the kind of things that happen to very special players. Such a neat and tidy game from him, sprinkled with a bit of magic

Holy smokes can't believe we won this game. All thanks to Mrazek unquestionably. Wings got bullied to the outside the whole game but that's what a good goalie can do for you. I think we were good to not give up very high quality chances other than a few but definitely were badly outplayed. Ericsson just can't do anything right out there. Sharks have a good forecheck and he missed quite a bit of time so hopefully he can regain his form. Wings got outmuscled badly. Frustrating to watch. Nyqvist doesn't exist in hockey games like this

Yeah that's why I kind of dismissed him I agree. I think Marchenko has a solid career in front of him and should surpass E quickly but we're trading him for Stamkos

A package of Nyquist+Mantha+1st to a bad team will get us a star player

I like to believe Holland is saving all his assets for a real deal impact player. Problem with Jones and Johanssen is that these teams are interested in winning now and we don't have the peices that would make huge impacts right away. If a bad team is looking to unload and prepare for the future Holland should be working hard so this deadline should be interesting... I have a strong feeling Mantha won't be a Red Wing for very long... Also they may look to make a sideways deal with a team like Anaheim where they send Nyquist for a big forward or dman

Other than DeKeseyer, Ericsson is the best defensemen we've developed since Kronwall... Kinda scary

Beating the Sharks would feel great, especially if the vets have a big night

For us to make that move it would be Larkin after he's played 2-3 seasons and proven to be "elite". Which proves we don't have the assets currently to go for a #1 defensemen. Guess that's why Holland kicks tires Us dumping Ericsson would be the equivalent of what PHI got for Schenn

Johanssen for Seth Jones... Good deal for both teams imo Jones still has a lot to prove could backfire but looks like a good hockey deal

Over here in western Canada most people hate the leafs pretty passionately with the odd fan here and there. Me, I'm indifferent. I actually like watching the leafs. If they ever become good I'll probably start to hate them
