Everyone blames Datsyuk's linemates but I think Dats is just as much to blame. He looks terrible today and Tatar is buzzing

Our offense output has gone down every year as Z and D get older, it's no coincidence. They're not guys you build your team around anymore. We have no core players, that's why we're not good at anything. Painfully mediocre

What exactly is this team especially good at? They have no identity other than they're bad qualities. I say we just go young? When's the last time we had a guy with size that fans were excited about? Franzen? How about a guy that part of his game was his physicality? Even our grinders don't hit. You can't be a good hockey team without a physical identity

This team is full of guys who just crumble under pressure. It's all in their heads. Kronwall and Ericsson are just the kind of guys who trip and fall when the game is on the line they always have been

Trade Nyquist, keep Tatar. Guy is a complete turd when teams ramp up the physicality. You can see he just has no intention of changing his game even though he would have success. Good depth guy on a stacked team

Larkin could thrive in that 3rd line role. Richards just blocking a young player but could be a good influence on Larkin

Sucks that Jurco got hurt, he probably would be given a shot in the top 9 if he was healthy

I don't have a bias for North American players if that's what you're suggesting. Anybody with eyes can see he is one of the more grittier players on this team. I never whine about Nyquist but watching him play this year is embarrassing. Just his who style of play. You can tell teams have learned to pick on him

Just try and notice who loses the puck once a man is on them. That's what my idea of soft is. If you can't make a single play with a man putting he body on you then you're soft. It's fine having these guys in your lineup but we have 6 of them

He's carrying that line. Half of offense is winning battles. Nyquist just pirouettes on the half boards until he loses control of the puck. Not saying Euros are known to be soft it's just Nyquist is as soft as it gets and he just happens to be a euro

I wouldn't go that far lol... I don't like the lines but I don't think it makes Blashill a bad coach... Seems like he's training Jurco, Nyquist and Tatar it's weird

Pavs looks alright it's just Richards is slow and weak. He has something to offer but Pavs can't do all the work for him and Helm is just not that kind of player

Well production is down across the board. Some would be concerned by this. You're not worried that pretty much every players offensive numbers have dropped significantly from last year? Abby and Z and our role players are the only guys putting up respectable numbers based on their previous totals

There's no way Tatar and Nyquist are hitting 30 goals this year. Something their capable of and something we need. Babs was able to do it. Why wouldn't you try to maximize scoring on a team that struggles to score

I think he is teaching Nyquist and Tatar to be effective in their own against bigger guys which I get but its at the expense of the team. Imo Tatar and Nyquist will always be damn good complimentary players anyways

This infuriates me. How can anybody watch that game with a basic understanding of hockey and not see that Tatar-Sheahan-Jurco needs to be a line. Even on paper it has everything. I think he's just giving Jurco crap and making him earn his time at the expense of the team

It makes no sense to me when people complain about Abdelkader. If we don't have his 11 goals and him leading the team in hits for the millionth time we are laughably soft. A lot of teams would love to have him. I feel people just spit out the same rhetoric witthout focusing on what this team actually struggles with. Abby is about as good at holding onto the puck and creating turnovers as Larkin but nobody would dare say that around here

Tatar-Sheahan-Jurco will be a line next game, count on it.

Am I the only one that thought the wings played pretty good after going down 4-0? Couple posts, couple breakaways, a lot of zone time. I guess Winnepeg is one of the worst defensive teams in the league but it was pretty entertaining if you don't factor in the score. Game got away from them way too early. Hard to win when you're down 3-0 in the first ten minutes

Yes for 7 games. Just some food for thought, obviously I'm wishing for the best At this point everyone has to accept what Howard is. He's had pretty much the exact same season 3 and half years in a row. He can provide you with top notch goaltending, top 5 in the league, but will have problem stretches that that don't allow you to win hockey games I actually agree with this. Everyone thinks Mtazek played amazing for us all series, which he did in a number of games, but he was flawed. I think the goal he gave up on Johnson when we were up 2-0 with a 2-1 series lead was the major turning point of the series and could have been stopped by any goalie
