GDT 11/20 GDT : Los Angeles Kings at Red Wings, 7:30 EST

Good thing Larkin came back or Glendening would have been on the top line. Blash has blinders on for this guy, in what world would a line of Glendening-Z-Abby ever work -
I think we should all be able to agree that Jurco deserves more of a shot than he has been given so far this season

Smith is probably a miserable hockey player, can't do anything right -

Need quick outlets to break this aggressive forecheck. Way too many little passes, better off icing it We look like a scared team bringing the puck out of our own zone -

Wings have played well lately need to start burying our chances. The goose never has a chance to get loose with these lines, this guy should be catered as the team sniper instead of Pulkinnen. The favouritism this unproven rookie-sniper is getting is kind of concerning. I'd be leaning on Nyquist right now, he's our best finisher so far -
Richards to return Friday; Athanasiou sent to GR

Seems we're missing that fine touch, hopefully the vet can help with a more precise offense and Pulkinnen ehhh idk I feel bad for Dats, no fore check at all on that line. Blash has given Pulkinnen every chance to succeed that's for sure. Please be showcasing him for a trade.... -
So eighth seed teams should just give up unless you're the LA kings? Hockey more than any other sport, all 16 teams have a real shot. Eighth seed go deep all the time and every single extra playoff game makes the young guys that much better. If Larkin played with us last year against Tampa he would be a much better player at this point despite us not making it out of the first round. You start missing the playoffs it changes the environment around the team and guys like Dats probably wouldn't have stuck around

Z and Dats keep the C and A until they retire no doubt about it. Maybe start alternating the 3rd A. Seems kind of disrespectful to Kronner though
-
I would die if they traded Mrazek over Howard Winnepeg seems to be in a free fall right now and they'll be heading into cap hell this summer
-
Lines look awful. Nyquist is our biggest offensive weapon at the moment and he gets screwed with his minutes... Pulkinnen suuuucks..Tatar too but I know he is capable Datsyuk getting shafted as per usual... Bertuzzi, Cleary, Richards Sheahan has played great on the 4th, hopefully he keeps it up in a scoring role Starting to question Blashill's favouritism to Pulkinnen If Babs was here still Pulks and/or Tatar would be sitting right now. You better add something to the team if your a midget right now they're both passengers

11/18 GDT : Washington Capitals at Red Wings, 8:00 EST

I'm not usually one to complain about commentating but Doc Emmerick was brutal last night. When Dekeseyer played the puck out of bounds for the penalty late in the game he announced a goal for some reason. Talked about Beagle's dad owning a mechanic shop for about 15 straight minutes and he's always way off on players, kept calling Larkin Tatar -
You shouldn't be expecting this team to be seriously contending for a Stanley Cup at this point. Our next wave of elite talent is being developed, once Larkin and co. are in their prime I will be concerned if we're not one of the very best teams in the league. Until then we still have a shot, like most teams in the league. I think everybody in the organization still strives to be the very best that they can but they're more focused on the future

That Niskanen is sure good though. The back end would look a lot different if we were able to snag him -

A line change on 3 on 3 is always dangerous. It's Z's man that burns him and then the pucks squeaks through Mrazek from a bad angle. Just an all around bad shift from everybody. 3 on 3 makes the defending team look silly more often then not We lost because we couldn't bury our chances and we took too many penalties/reffing was terrible. Washington is a much better team than us and we took 3 of a possible 4 points from them. We outplayed them until the third but we could have easily been up by a couple at that point -

Get a grip these things happen all the time on 3 on 3. You're either a very impressive troll or extremely immature. Everyone knows your motive to insinuate we need smith in the lineup all your posts are ridiculous -

Pretty well played game considering the refs were raping us. Got sloppy in the end and we missed some good opportunities. Frustrating but we were able to secure a point against one of the best teams in the league. Tatar has been a disappointment and the PP needs to get it together, otherwise pretty decent game Yeah Z looked very slow out there. Nyquist is our best 3 on 3 player gotta get him more ice time -
This team is pretty good in their own end... E, Deke and Marchenko are all pretty darn good in their own zone. I think peoples expectation of a great shut down defender are completely unrealistic
-
Like buff? The guy will be 35 by the time Larkin and co are in their prime and will be getting a mammoth contract
-
I think it's been hammered into his brain by coaching to simplify his game and take the body as much as possible. He could be such a huge part of this team (literally) if he could have a Nyquist-like breakout year There must be plans with him. No way they would have him scratched even after injuries cleared room for him perfectly. Either injury or not showing up to camp in shape. What's with it being kept hush hush, tho it's very strange

I'm talking a real blue chip prospect. Put together a nice package and get the Larkin of defensemen prospects
