Welp Kindl definitely won't be playing any playoff games

Had a pretty dominant first very tenacious but Carolinas getting the better chances here in the 2nd Kronwall, Z, Dats and Smith are sitting... Ya know, rest all the superstars

Getting our PP going would be huge and we're beyond inept against the Habs I think if we play Tampa there's a chance they aren't prepared for the tight checking defensive responsibility

Not on center ice but here in Canada the game is playing on FX and doesnt show on the guide but it is playing

We got hosed in our first game against the Habs and our last game we should have won against them too... Regular season goes out the window anyways. Habs have no firepower and Price is struggling going into the playoffs. Bolts have no proven playoff performers and Babs is a better coach

Babs just hates Weiss for no reason. It has nothing to do with him consistently being one of our worst forwards every night

I think Smith gets packaged along with a small forward like Pulks. Plus we really need to do whatever it takes to move Weiss There will be options out there with teams like San Jose, LA and possibly Pitts looking to retool I like the Phaneuf deal because Toronto wants out of that deal so bad it brings his value way down. Takin his whole salary is trade in itself

He's not really super aggressive. He puts up points because he has skill with the puck and good hockey IQ with a great point shot. He doesn't really jump into the play a lot. Great hitter and protects his crease and is no slouch defensively With Kronner, Phaneuf and DD likely putting up 30+ points our top 4 looks respectable. Phaneuf-DD would be a really well balanced pair that can play shut down and score pretty well

We were screwed with first round opponents unless we won our division and even then we might have had to play the sens -
Aside from a couple turnovers (every team has them throughout the course of a game) our D was pretty solid last night. Montreal, one of the stingiest teams in the league had close to double our turnovers. I think last night is as good of a defensive game as their capable of. Last two goals shouldn't have happened with an NHL goalie. Howard knows that, Babs knows that

It's wierd because Kindl seems to score everytime he's in the lineup but only gets to play when there is injuries

Phaneuf' scrap contract just means we get him for way cheaper or we can dump Weiss on them

I really want Phaneuf here too. He's a 1/2 defensemen on just about any team just like Kronwall. Plays all situations and sticks up for teammates and protects his crease. He'll occasionally destroy somebody too which is nice. Just watch the play of him destroying Oshie. We need that edge on our blueline. The guy is clearly miserable in Toronto

Pretty much the same idea, he batted the puck out of the air while it was in play. Montreal was on a powerplay which cause a 5 on 3 which they scored on immediately. Then they just zoomed in on his big dumb face for what seemed like an eternity -

I feel the people that are positive all the time and "actually know what they're talking about" are just old people that don't really care about the Wings anymore. -

If I'm matching up against us the gameplan is throw it at Jimmys feet.... Says a lot that Babs is still not sure who he's going with. Honestly, I have no idea. I'd be happy and excited to see Mrazek start but going with Jimmy is probably the smarter move I think our defense has played great especially Ericsson. He was probably our best dman today -

We actually are a good defensive team when we play our game and our goaltending is decent. The frustrating part about Howard is it's always those dumb goals from the icing line. He played a great game but he still lost us this one. The goal on the 5 on 3 was bad too. I think he just gets rattled and overthinks -

It's hard to be excited when, in a game where it was all on the line, the whole team played great but still managed to lose at the hands of our goaltending. I don't think there's much more this team can do in a playoff series. Same thing happened against Boston -
