Both are going quietly about their business, Suter even stated that no inperson hearing was needed, he has his phone on and his agent will be in Minnesota, thats good enough for him. Suter to me is a great guy, he wants to quietly do his job and impress with his actions instead of a big mouth and media attention. Even if they sign elsewhere, I wish them nothing but the best. Hockeyplayers are the best and most respected athletes I can think off so no bad feelings either way. I'd love either one on the Wings, but if they decide otherwhise, its fine too. Sure, it will suck for us and we should save all the money for next season, providing the kids a chance to play and maybe miss the playoffs but if thats the price for a potential super UFA summer 2013 (Getzlaf/Weber), so be it. I think we as Red Wings fans should show the same class as this organization, players are handled well here. btw. happy independence day everyone.

Weber might get even more ridiculous offers but both are worth it.

Wow people are still getting angry at players for taking their time? How would you feel if you have 25 job offers with some exceptional ones? Personally I would take all my time to ask my wife, family, friends and agents about the pro/cons of either city, the team, coach and trying to phone a couple of players how it is to play for my destinated team and then go through the list. Let them take their time, I am almost everyone of us would do the same.

Despite tons of a money there a so many other factors: - Does my wife want to move - How I am going along with the new teammates from some teams - Can I still enjoy my privacy outside the rink - How far away will my parents be - How is the school system - Would I get along with the coach Just some questions from top of my head I think, it would take me a good amount of time (easily more than 5 days), figuring stuff out. Sure we are ann Original Siix team with money but I'd rather stay pat, if we don't get Suter and save money for next year, to make a run for Weber and Getzlaf.

Well let's give them some time. People basically have to keep in mind, such decisions are affecting families, friends and all that too.
