Doesn't sound like a promotion to me. Looks like our most important offseason moves are to improve the coaching staff around Blashill. Wings had always been good in finding people that a good if not brilliant at their respective job. I hope the signings of Granato and Firschweiler were the only exception from that. -

Sure. Never said that the changes produced more goals. One doesn't exclude the other. Two examples that stood out to me this season : Our defenseman are allowed to pinch more often. And our center often goes deeper into the zone instead of securing high against breakouts. Smith. By a mile. -

I'd rather give Larkin, Matha and AA some playoff experience than drafting 1 or 2 positions earlier. -

As bad as todays game was I think Blashill is the right coach for this team. He openend the Wings up for a more attractive, offensive style. It might fall flat this year but I take Blashills approach over Babcocks defensive first style any time. And by the way : It's not over yet. We still have all the chances to make the playoffs. -
Very much of our chances depend on what Boston and/or the Isles do tonight. Let's hope that the Leafs and Hurricanes bring their A game tonight.....

This. It's far from over. Getting scored on three times within around 10 minutes is still unacceptable for a team that desperately wants to get into the playoffs though. -

Reasons have yet to be disclosed. I wonder what is behind this. Mrazeks groin again ? Edit : Khaaaaaaaan has it : Not good. Mrazek is one of the if not the reason we are still in the playoff race. Let's hope All Star Howard shows up tonight.
