That 2nd line should wreck havoc. With those two gritty big bodies + Z it must be very hard to take the puck away from them. Their only problem might be speed.

This definitely is the best option if we wanted to bolster up our Blueline. We are not committed with him if he somehow doesn't fit and payed almost nothing to get him here. It's like yesterdays a no risk, high reward trade and looking what others teams did these days I'm very glad to have Kenny at the helm. The future is still bright and with the addition of Cole and Zidlicky maybe the present is already brighter than we all imagine. It also gives us all the options in the offseason, for example we're still able to pursue Green, this time with the reputation as a legit contender. Well done Mr. Holland.

Give the guy a break, the trade is just 1 hour old now. I always wondered what these kind of interviews are good for. It's almost impossible to make up your mind in time that short.

We traded what is basically a 2nd round pick and a minor prospect for an aging UFA power forward with maybe two or three more years in the tank. Is it the mot exciting trade ever ? Nope. But it's a low (almost no) risk, high reward kind of trade which will definitely make us better. What is not to like ?
