LMAO. It's gotten to the point where people at pissed about "news" like this... Sad!

It's the type of graphs Hodor would look at, think about and respond with "Hodor"

By big dylan you mean Larkin right?

7/10

That's not a bad thing if you're talking about Kronwall from 2013-15. Considered him a decent #1D - not Doughty or Karlsson or Keith type but a slight tier below that.
-
But Datsyuk and Zetterberg = 20 players on their own. I agree, I've thought of us being strong in the middle rounds picks lately.

Did we do good or bad? If it's not corsi or fenwick then I don't understand it.

We're not haters, until they steal our nickname. -
Yeah but you implied that he's not good enough to play #1. When in reality he was actually of of the better centers in the league last year. Zetterberg is like Yzerman that he plays through injuries but he's also unlike Yzerman because his body is actually pretty healthy. Probably healthier than most of the players on our team to be honest. He was the only forward to play 82 games two seasons in a row on our team. I think a lot of us have this narrative that Zetterberg's body is all bad and beaten up and somehow he's close to done. I don't think so, I think he's slowed down with age, I think he's had plenty of injuries that probably hurt but I think his brain is genius enough to adapt. That's what seperates guys like Zetterberg from guys like Lecavelier, Heatley, Richards, Dustin Brown. I believe that's the reason why he did so well last year, he knows his weakness is his speed, yet somehow his brain is smart enough to control the pace of the game around him. There's guys usually speeding past him but he's still two steps ahead of them mentally. I do agree that we need another Center. But I would rather have a 36 year old Zetterberg putting up 70 ish points and doing smart things out on ice for the other kids to watch and see than having someone like Kreiji, Bozak or one of the other non-top 10 centers out on ice. I think Blashill is right to have him as #1 because the more he plays the better Wingers guys like Mantha, Tatar, Nyquist become. Rather than having some chump be their center. And honestly if Z is willing to be the top center, and he's able to do it then I don't see what the problem is. Have Larkin be #2C and AA #3C and trade Nielsen somehow

Apparently they have been calling themselves Hockeytown. -
Indeed, only Dickie would know that.

It's all about the Soy Milk these days though.

That's how to impress the ladies bro, finesse with the leg kick. Well, hockey players are generally not that strong when starting off compared to other sports (Football, Basketball for instance) but that is pretty sad. On the other hand the article says McDavid did only 6 pull ups and he's supposed to be better than Crosby so.. 1 vs 6.. Ehh sounds weak either way for both.

I mean is it true? Does it stink? That's what I want to know. -
Obviously. Your emotional fits will be our entertainment on these boards during dark times. We have to laugh somehow.
-
If Nielsen on 3rd line, what about 2nd line? Assuming Z continues to center line 1 with Mantha and Tatar or Nyquist

This had me rolling. Well done.

Heatley actually earned the NHL stardom because he did put up numbers but that same fan base that helped him rise up chewed him out when he declined and got exposed in a changing NHL. Looking back now, the guy is considered one of the most overrated by people. I personally am not sure if I agree, I think he was great but the majority of fans no longer do. Toews has it worse imo because he doesn't actually have any individual numbers to prove his individual legacy. No 40 goal seasons, no 100 point seasons, only one Selke trophy in an era where Bergeron won 3 (possibly 4th this year) Not even a ppg player and he's not even 30 years old yet.. No one is going to remember the "intangibles" bulls*** 30 years from now. They'll simply be looking at numbers and individual trophies and comparing them the players in his era, where he isn't even top 5 in a single category. -

And this is why Sidney Crosby and Evgeny Malkin need to win 1-2 more Stanley cups. To deter this bulls*** narrative that's pretty out of control. And it honestly got even more out of control when they (the NHL) put him on the top 100 players list this year. I was really hoping the LA Kings and Kopitar would win their 3rd cup as well. Kopitar finally won that Selke trophy last year (should have won it years ago); a third cup for them would also have helped deter this dumb narrative. I wonder what people will think of Toews 10-15 years from now after he's retired. Will people look back and still think he's that good? Or will they realize how stupidly overrated he was. I'm assuming the latter because hindsight really is 20/20 and in this case, hindsight would actually be a good thing to use in your argument. People used to drool over Danny Heatley, Vincent Lecavelier, Marty Turco back in the mid 2000s. And now those same names are associated with "dam he got washed up", "wow he was overrated", and "holy s*** did people actually think he was that good?"
