I don't want Chris Chelios coaching our defense and PK. Can we get a real coach that understands current day hockey? Chelios' current job is perfect. Occasional on-ice work with players and watch from the press box. Leave it the way it is and bring in someone who can be a difference maker on that staff.

Indeed it is the entire team for sure. But what I meant was that defense has always sucked but the goalies still were able to bail em out in big stretches over the last few years. Now they simply aren't able to. So now we're at a point where the entire team (including the goalies) are playing terribly. Although our secondary scoring was starting to impress me that last few games (Sheahan, Glendog, Helm).

The defense has always been bad since Lidstrom left. So using defense as an argument is about a 3 year old argument. It's definitely the goalies. They're simply unable to bail out the team like they used to.
