To be honest it was a nice rebound set up by Z. Richards was in the perfect position and finished it. Richards is a lot better than the trolls/haters make him out to be for sure. Our entire teams scoring is atrocious so it's easy to blame the new guys.

I think the players buckled down with the games left. We saw the same thing in 2013 and a few games last season. This same squad (aside from Larkin) has been through a lot of tight races the past few seasons.

Interesting to see how many Red Wings fans there will be. At the Winter Classic it was about 60% to 40% Toronto fans in the Michigan Stadium as a lot of people made the drive from Toronto/Canada. Hopefully Wings fans have a good turn out and people from Detroit (and good amount of Wings fan across the continent) show up in Toronto.

You do realize that the last three posts about possible line combos are just what people like to envision and something that would likely never happen in reality with 16 games left in the season. With 16 games left and our team declining out of a playoff spot, they would never scratch Richards, boost Mantha up to first or second line in his first NHL career game or put Jurco top line after scratching him and giving him 4th line minutes for majority of the season. The sky would fall before those 3 things all happen at once. I might win the daily lotto before those 3 things happen together.
