I think it's fair to compare Larkin to Eichel but not McDavid. Just because Eichel was a 2nd pick and because he was highly anticipated by the media doesn't mean he's better than Larkin at the NHL level. Aren't you always talking about eye ball rather than stats? Using my eye balls I can say with confidence that Eichel and Larkin are comparable. And with my eyeballs I can say that McDavid is at another level.

Yeah, was over exaggerating. The guys I play with right now are all from Toronto living in Michigan and aren't huge Toews fans themselves. Ironically a couple of them try to model their play after Datsyuk.

Look at the players Datsyuk plays with NOW. He's 37 years old and has a better PPG rate than Toews. Datsyuk has a s***ty roster since Lidstrom left and STILL puts up great numbers even though he's OLD. Get over it. Prime Datsyuk is better than Prime Toews. Bad knees, ankle torn which required surgery. 37 years old. And still puts up better numbers than Toews. Lol. I can't even imagine the fool he would make out of Toews on ice if they went one on one and Datsyuk was still 27 years old. He'd probably run circles around the guy. The NHL players themselves have said they would take Datsyuk in a clutch moment over anyone. 2:11 as Shanahan says "If you have to pick one centerman to win a game, I'd pick Pavel Datsyuk" End of story.

If they split up D and Z then probably Datsyuk should surpass but if they keep them together Z will probably keep the point lead.

Not sure. Z is known to elevate his game towards end of the season and into the playoffs. But then again he didn't do it last year and likely won't be able to this year because he's older. I have no idea on Larkin. Not sure if he's on a cold streak or if the 82 game season grind got to him or what.

I like Claude Lemieux now. In 1996/1997 I wanted him punished bad (much like 99% of the rest of the town AND the press did). But I like the way he carried himself after getting his ass handed by McCarty. I like how him and McCarty are fairly acquainted well now and have moved on.
