To even use the two in the same sentence of comparison is crazy. Datsyuk in his prime was at a level Toews never has been at and never will be. Better at defense, better at pick pocketing, better at scoring, better at shootouts, better shot, better stick handling and likely one of the best visions on ice next to Crosby, Thornton (in his prime). Larkin will likely be as good as Toews maybe even better. By the way it's not THAT big of a deal to be better than Toews. He's not that AMAZING of a player. Toews is probably a good first comparison to make. First comes Toews, then comes the league of Crosby, Datsyuk, Malkin and the rest of the world's best in their primes. I don't see Larkin ever being as good as Datsyuk. But who knows.

Yeah they always do stick handles in the same exact spot- been that way for years now. They also do a random passing drill sometimes along the blue line. I think it's superstition/tradition.

Lol yeah he gets kind of obnoxious with the whole Iron Man/Tony Stark persona. But one can't deny that RDJr. revived the Iron Man comic hero and for the most part brought life to Marvel comics as well. I like him as Sherlock tho (a lot of people don't).

Yeah and in 2004 he played in Timra for the season and the playoffs as well actually. Datsyuk played for Dynamow in 2004 the season and also the playoffs. In 2013 Datsyuk played 31 games for KHL. These two guys never really took a break from hockey. Whereas I think Lidstrom actually took the entire 2004 season off. I think had they gotten the lost time back Datsyuk would probably be over 1000 points and Z would be somewhere in the 940 /950 range. Especially because when they lost time in 2004 that would have literally been their first "prime" year since when they came back in 2005 they both hit like 85+ points. 2004 was supposed to be their breakout year but it ended up being 2005.

The Wings did play a game yesterday. So I'd cut some slack on the poor performance overall. To be honest - yesterday was mainly a blame towards Mrazek. I'd say today the blame is put on the entire team and Howard as well. I think people lose sight of whats real and blame the guy they don't like. Hell, I do it too. But seriously though.. objectively speaking, yesterday Mrazek was at fault (and that's okay sometimes), today the entire team is (and that's okay too after playing a hard game yesterday). And no I don't think Howard has any excuse and yes I think he should be packaged off over the summer.

Seems like Mantha is nearing his numbers from last year in about 20 games less played. Haven't been able to watch a game in a while wonder how he's been looking on ice.

Datsyuk 7 away from 600 assists. Zetterberg has 62 game winning goals 1 behind Shanahan for 3rd all time. Z also has 2997 shots on goal for 4th all time (yikes!).

We don't have home ice advantage so he may have to split them up to have 2 strong centers to spread the talent when opposing team tries to outmatch us. Home team gets last change.
