If he was conussed at the time he should have left the game. The trainers told him to go to dressing room and he refused. He didnt play his cards right Imo. Thats probably the biggest argument against his case.

Larkin now tied with Panarin in goals

keep AA in the lineup imo. -
FYI if Dustin Byfuglien was on our team right now ... Mr. Fatty would be third in points behind Larkin and Z. A bit embarassing that a fat guy is outscoring our small skilled forwards while playing defense! He also has more goals than everyone on our team except Larkin. It's hilarious.
-
People seem to come up with a narrative about how Byfuglien is too fat yet he consistently plays a ton of minutes every night and is arguably better than all of our current defenseman are and ever will be.

as rental no as ufa yes.

Nyquist sucks with Z now. I prefer Larkin with Z. Dats and Tats are gold together

Scott actually has a pretty good wrist shot.

Larkin asked whether he could beat Helm in a race - “He would win,” Larkin conceded. “But I still won the one at the All-Star Game.” Then he thought about it some more and said, “if you put turns in there I’d give myself a chance, but up and down, he’d win.”

Yeah, this is one of the awards among a couple other ones that I find a bit misleading with description. Norris as you mentioned is a good example. Best defenseman is the descriptor yet the award is generally given to the one with the highest points. With that said though, I still have a feeling Larkin will win just because of the way things have been played out. I may end up being wrong and the trend may continue, and Panarin ends up winning it regardless of all the Larkin hype. Orrrr McDavid comes back to retake the throne.

Most proficient is defined by most points? Or is it defined by proficiency? Certainly you don't believe higher points means more proficient.
-
3 less points but also played 4 less games due to injury. If ROY is going to be based off highest points (as the trend seems to be) it's just the Art Ross Trophy for rookies basically. Yet the Calder Trophy is defined as "the most proficient in his first year of competition" not the "one with the highest points".

injured Kronwall out 2-4 Weeks after Knee Scope
kickazz replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
Not surprised. The original time frame of "2 weeks" seemed too good to be true for his age. I guess that's about 4 weeks of recovery. Fine by me, never hurts to get the extra rest as a veteran. -
Hahahah I love it. All the Scott haters must be rolling their eyezzz

The team collectively sucks at PP while Chicago is 4th in the league. The fancy stats are comparing Panarin vs Larkin. One must look at it in context to be honest. Larkin has the edge on even strength fancy stats. That's really all there is to it. The other point the article is making is their impact on their respective teams. And it seems like Larkin makes a bigger difference. I think the ROY should be renamed to "Most points by rookie (unless you're a defenseman rookie)". Because looking at the previous winners - unless you're a defenseman you're likely to win the award as long as you score more points. Huberdeau was like a -15 on the season while Gallagher was like a +10 and only had 3 less points but still lost in 2012.

Lots of big name guys stay humble though. I think a lot of it depends on what organization you come into as well. Seems like the Wings do a good job of grooming their star players in terms of attitude.
-
Lol yep. The fame gets to a lot of players heads.

His numbers wouldn't change much. He has the 4th highest ice time among forwards per game for the Wings behind, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Abdelkader all of whom get more powerplay time (by approximately one minute) than Larkin does. So if anything I'd say they get higher opportunity to score with the man avantage factor than he does.
