Not really. Kronwall broke like 3 rules in his hit. 1. Elbow up. 2. principle point of contact was head 3. Left feet off ice White hit on Jurco 1. Principle point of contact was head. Didn't leave feet, elbow not up. So the way I look at it - Kronners hit was worse (in terms of rules). He got a one game suspension, White got booted from the game. The hits to me aren't the same and so the punishments shouldn't be the same. And from what I remember, when he got suspended - him leaving his feet was the primary reason for his suspension. Found the video - they explain the reasoning well and compared it to Kronwall's previous hits and why he wasn't suspended before. To me that's much worse than White's hit.

Wings were rank 2 with 93% PK last year and took Tampa (a team that went to stanley cup finals) to game 7. Special teams are known to make an inherent difference in the playoffs. That's why refs are expected to be on top of their game when handing out penalties during the playoffs.
