I agree about him not being a power forward in the NHL, that's just not his game here. I do think that some of his best games as a Red Wing have come when he's been at Center though. I'd much rather see him there for the rest of the year, getting experience. Honestly, we need him to develope into a top six C.

Mantha, AA, and Larkin are currently the only reason I watch each and every game. I probably won't watch this one now to be honest, which makes me sad.

Can someone give me the low down on this kid? I've heard him talked about fondly on here a few times but I don't know much about him.

I didn't realize he had another year, left, thanks for clearing that up. I do hope we trade him next year though. I'm a big Green fan, but I don't see him playing at this level into his mid-30's.

The unfortunate thing is that I thought Smith was right on the verge of finding his game, I thought he looked pretty good this year. Nice move though, no real complaints.

I didn't say it deflated them, but it changes the way both teams approach the game. If you don't think it's harder to score while playing from behind I don't know what to tell you. But honestly, another early goal given up in the first few minutes on a team that's having trouble scoring? I'd venture that was pretty damn deflating. I didnt say this team was good, I said Mrazek should've saved it. Also, not to point out the obvious, but Jagr is extremely slow, every time I see him he looks slower than Z.

I'd actually say that first goal really set the tone for most of this game, playing from behind is losing hockey. He's been good since, but he should've had that first one (though the d should've never left someone so open either).

I'm with you, you're right. I would argue that slew footing should be punished more severely, as I think it's extremely dangerous for several reasons. I'm also a bit salty because he did it to a guy with a bad knee. Back to Nyquist, he definitely deserves suspension. It sucks, but it is what it is.

He should be suspended. However, looking at how they essentially let Marchand off for nothing, I'll be very upset if it's a substantial length of games.

This is how I feel. I still watch every game. The Wings have given me a lot of good years, going down with the ship. This is literally the first game I've ever felt so disheartened though.

I don't think I've ever been this disillusioned when it comes to the Wings. Completely let down these days.
