I think it's a combination of two factors. First, they changed the special teams coaches, the new ones might just do a better jon. Second, younger players maturing helps a lot.

I took the special teams. We were just awful last season on the PP and it looks much, much better so far this season. Currently 8th on the PP, finished 27th last year. PK was 16th last year, right now it's 6th.

The best thing was Abby blocking the potential equalizer from Nyquist. Well, the opposing goalie doesnt even have to make that save himself.. Perfectly sums up this team in one scene. I liked Mantha today, though. Yup, you're bigger than most opponents - show them.

So amazing guys around here really blame AA and not our idiot GM.. He is not a spoiled brat. He saw players delivering less than he does getting millions of dollars thrown at them by Holland. He was, in just his second season, already close to 0.5 PPG while being not even used properly. You really blame that guy for taking a look at Helm and Abby and thinking "wtf are you offering me"? Or seeing Holland signing Witkoswski and telling AA afterwards "oops, we don't have enough cap anymore, you need to take less".

Point is, he had no arbitration rights this time. He'll have after this season.
