Which they never will because Kenny would've to admit how bad that contract is. Which is why he won't buy it out either. -

Voted Abby given the options, but I'd like to see Danny get it, too.

Oh, count on his hands of stone being Top6 again... -
signed Alexey Marchenko re-signed: 2 years, $1.45m AAV

Great deal, I like him. -
Signed Frans Nielson signs 6 year $5.25m AAV contract with Detroit
The Datsyukian Deke replied to Jedi's topic in General
Again, nothing against the guy. That deal being 2 years less and I would've looked for a drink to celebrate. I most like the fact of adding a real two-way guy...5on5 AND both special teams, where we really need to improve. -

The potential to be a huge steal is the best about it. -
signed Darren Helm re-signed: 5 years, $3.85m AAV

We can only hope for that expansion draft to save us.. -

Just don't sign him, if that length is the deciding factor. Let the fishsticks have him for 6 years, with all that decline to the end, and look for others options. -

Just to mention, i dislike the length, not Nielsen in any way. Great player, and might be even more valuable given our bad special teams last season. -

The money ist not the problem, it's the length. That's just insane. I'm wondering about the owners...do they care, do they know anything about sports? -
Trade Detroit trades Datsyuk to Arizona
The Datsyukian Deke replied to WeBleedRed's topic in General
Then, even I would join the "no" corner regarding "should we retire his number". Right now, I'm still voting "yes". That said, I've always been blaming Kenny (and rightfully so ) but you got to give credt when it's due. Great trade to ease up the situation, now throw (almost) everything at Stamkos. -

"Fortunately" I first got into watching hockey only at the end of the 2009-10 season, so no Chelios for me. The " " are about the fact that I missed out on many, many years of witnessing Pavel and Nik, our last title, and so much more.. ..I was about to throw up when I learned about the Bertuzzi incident, though. There might be people who say sometimes (or even most times) you need guys on your team that are dirty, to win titles, even if it's just to counter oppositions dirtyness, but I don't wanna see any of this trash. In my opinion, Bertuzzi should be in jail and Lucic should've been suspended an entire season for spearing Danny. Most importantly, I don't get how these people made it through their lives so far, with that kind of behaviour, without consequences. That thing with Danny gets your straight into hospital on most playgrounds, and rightfully so.. -
signed Red Wings re-sign Riley Sheahan: 2-years, $4.15m
The Datsyukian Deke replied to Matt's topic in General
I like it if he is used correctly. Read: Third line center. Not playing higher, not playing the wing, no nonsense. Centering third line, or even fourth if he is surpassed over time by more talented guys, doing his work on the PK where he was really good last season. Same thing as with Glendening, I'm always about to riot when the guy plays higher or on the wing. That's just completely insane. -

Lucic? Are you out of your mind? I still remember that piece of s*** spearing Danny between the legs...no, thanks. Guys like him are a disgrace to the game and I don't want any of them on the team.. -

Overall, it looks like the person Datsyuk is not as smart as the player Datsyuk was. At best, it's just bad advice by his agent. How you can damage your own reputation and legacy like this is beyond me. https://www.nhl.com/news/pavel-datsyuk-leaves-legacy-with-red-wings/c-280995762 This pretty much hits it... it's just so inappropriate.. -
Reality is that we're gonna be stuck with Ericsson for the rest of his damn contract, because stupid Kenny will rather keep him than admit what he did with signing him to that deal...
-
Note: Schmeling was married to a czech actress, had a jewish manager and refused the Nazi order to split. They exploited him for their s*** like many other sports- and show stars, but he was never one of them. Just a good guy, he partially paid for Joe Louis funeral too, if I recall correctly.

Seriously? In basketball they happen...and they work. Not too often, but a certain share.
-
Ok, thanks for the reply. Given the fact that most interesting centers are RFAs, I'd say Kenny should at least drive up their prizes.
-
To repeat my question from April 23rd...can anyone answer this?

Free Press: Pavel Datsyuk to return to Russia following Playoffs

And even a bad version of himself was still our by far best and efficient weapon with a .74 PPG ... next best was Hank with .55 or so, which is horrible in itself..
