The kids going to be successful wherever he's at. He's smart, he's big, he's skilled, he's effin fast, and he works his ass off... I'd be more concerned about stunting his development, than pushing him too fast at this point. Stunting isn't the right way to describe it, more like hindering it, or stringing it out longer than it needs to be... We're kind of in the situation where we need him sooner than later, if for nothing more than I want him to be around pav and z for as long as possible... And with mantha, someone on HF boards put it really well. He was playing in aa in juniors, not AAA. When he made the jump up it took him a season to do anything. He was a fifth round pick in the q(iirc) and he wasn't good until he adjusted. I'm willing to give him the benefit if the doubt that he just needs to adjust.

Like I said, I'd have no problem with him being back at u of m but I don't see what he'd learn from going back to a place where all he has to do is skate fast to be successful. From what I've seen of him, His hands are decent, good to very good if you take into account how fast he's moving with the puck, but he doesn't have the best shot at full speed, and in college, literally all he has to do is skate fast.. His playmaking is pretty damn good. But it could be better. Which are things I think he could be taught more adeptly at the pro level, just because he won't simply be able to out skate as many people/teams...

Yeahhh. It sounds like hell be a lifer in Carolina.

He's so fast and he can control the puck while he skates, so he can simply walk(at a very high rate of speed) around college teams, which is why I agree with him moving up now.

Hell either get a bridge deal for a few years worth around that, or they'll just lock him up for the 8yrs closer to 7m,imo.Which they should do the latter, they don't have many good playoff performers, and he is that. -

Idk if I want Tampa bay to put Montreal out of their misery, or if I want them to win four straight just to spite the lightning. Patches with a shorty. 2-0 habs -

Tampa bay sweep tonight. And probably a Chicago sweep of Minny. A few years back, I had this real nice broom. Real nice. A Thick bristled bi**h. And we won the Stanley cup. I needs me a new broom. -
I think he should. I wouldn't be against him being the big dog in Ann arbor, but I think hell learn more in grand rapids.

Larkin needs to turn pro. The opportunity to have him, aa, and helm on the same line before helm loses a step is too amazing to think about... It would be the fastest line in the NHL. Larkin is fast as hell.
